Datamining, as it relates to Soyjak.party, is the act of applying software upon a website that stores and logs all public messages. The messages are then sorted through with algorithms to find patterns in how people are talking.
Mined data can either be given/sold to third parties, or be used by the website itself (in Soyjak.party's case, to purportedly identify users who are evading bans). The act of datamining, although universal across all modern social media, is considered by most Soyjak.party users as a violation to a natural right of privacy, and could potentially put personally identifiable information at risk.
Datamining is a common form of intelligence gathering done by CIA agents, big tech corporations, UN workers and reptilians on 4channel, as well as many other sites. It was said to have been invented by Soot during his time working at the CIA, and it worked so well that they started using it too.[1]
Whenever one encounters a datamining thread, it is advised to post "DATAMINING THREAD DO NOT INTERACT"[2] [3] [4] [5] [6], to warn and deter other users from giving their information.
Rootkit day
On June 14th, 2024, the party experienced Rootkit Day, in which Nudev was allegedly (?) discovered to be connecting to soyteen's local networks, for alleged bitcoin mining purposes (although some suspect it's to insert rootkits and remote access trojans into users' machines). uBlock Origin users were forced to disable the "Block Outsider Intrusion into LAN" feature. Many tears were shed, many clitties were leaked.
This also practically resulted in a de facto banning of Firefox and Brave Browser, since they both have uBlock Origin pre-installed.
Later on, uBlock Origin users started getting the same error you get when you're posting on Tor. It is thought that, since only one error can be displayed when your post fails, this error message took priority over the "Please disable Block Outsider Intrusion into Lan" message, although in reality both errors were present. It is suspected that NuDev might have inserted the IPs of his enemies into the site's database of Tor or VPN IPs, thereby sneakily banning them permanently, although this was later fixed.
Wtf, I'm not able to post on the party now. I disabled Block Outsider Intrusion into LAN, reset cookies, and it still didn't work. Then I disabled uBlock Origin, reset cookies, and it doesn't work. Im not banned. Jannies work on it.
