Dequoteification refers to the actions done by Salt, in the days after he took ownership of the site, which have the goal to reverse any decisions made by Quote during his time as admin. These have been popular with 'teens, as many Quotist policies and rules have been unpopular. However, Salt doing the opposite of the old administration leads some to believe he's just Quote under another identity.

Analyzing Salt's motives[edit | edit source]

When the Soysphere fully came back online with Salt as owner, many 'teens viewed the new owner with lots of skepticism, the majority claiming it is a psyop. Depending on how you count admins, Salt is also Admin number 6. Had he not done anything, these accusations would have been the defining facts about his character. Suddenly undoing almost every single unpopular rule hugely boosted his popularity, but only time will tell if Salt will lead the site to a golden age, or end it.
