Nununununu coaty STOP
1/28, globally known as the Cacacaust, were a set of events that happened on January 28th 2026, which included banning of all under-18 users, sitewide gore ban and Quote announcing when the site will shut down.
Quote would later announce that when he gets bored of the sharty, he'll just shut it down instead of selling it to somebody else. Sounds familiar, doesn't it?[1]
The leadup to this event was when a lot of teens prior to 1/28 had claimed that there was too much EPI on the log. It is considered by some to be THE most RETARDED FUCKING decision in the history of the Soysphere.

Rule changes[edit | edit source]
The most notable rule changes included the under-18 ban and the gore ban. The gore ban only affected /pol/ because that's the only place it was previously allowed on.
Mass ban wave[edit | edit source]
Throughout the day, Quote and the rest of the Jannies would ban everybody who had admitted to being under 18 previously, Two of the most notable people banned were trevor, who had to show a censored image of one of his IDs, with antiswarthy having admitted to being underage. Two other prominent namefags, korg and colorlesspy, were also banned.
Cacas got banned in droves. The ban list quickly was covered in rule 13 violations shortly after the rule was announced.[2]
Bans on der 'ki[edit | edit source]
The ban wave started to take effect on this very wiki shortly afterwards, with several active nu-editors getting 'nished, including one mediator Goopz.[3]
During this it was also discovered that Chud’ait had been continuing to edit on a sockpuppet account called Antimatter, a notable 13-year-old snitchnigger and gegbull who spread the target list for Operation No Nut November on reddit. His 'sock was initially 'nished for vandalizing 'ki pages with two other active editors,[and organizing it on a jewgle doc geg] due to their immense clitty leakage about the Gradingcaust.
The original creator of this article got banned shortly after publishing it and outing ximself as a caca GEEG

People have asked me hundreds of times at this point and my answer hasn't changed: the site isn't for sale.
Once I've had enough I'm going to JSID instead of passing it on or selling it.
Many teens were rightfully angry and shocked at this message, with many believing that Quote is Admin 6.[4] 'Teens had mixed feelings about the changes of the rules.
Most teens became angry at Quote for announcing he would shut the site down once he was done with it, coming off as incredibly selfish and that he will cause another soypocalypse purely out of spite and/or for the gegs.[5] This would doubtlessly cause several new splinters to arise and bring upon a nu-splintered age, spreading refugee 'teens thin and could plausibly cause the entire soysphere to wither away and die off.
Then, as if this day had to get any worse, xe pissed on the servers or something causing the sharty and der 'ki to go down for about 30 minutes.[6] This caused a brief moment where some 'teens thought he shut it down early due to the backlash.[it just did, ok?]

welp, this day just made me realize that what i suspected about Quote months ago wasn't some schizophrenic conspiracy theory: he actually does not care about it's users. regardless of wether you believe what he said about shutting it down is bait or not, you should be able to see that Quote loves this new attention. he loves it when people here start talking about what he's doing, and when you start talking negatively about him, he gets leaky and starts making useless changes that serve no purpose other than to make you feel like he's in charge and nothing can change that.
