bawbakiu sasBBQ Sauce (also known as BBC Sauce, formerly swede on IRC) was the sixth and final Sharty manager. He was picked on August 8, 2025 and announced the next day in a /qa/ thread. He succeeded Mustard.[1]
He was once thought to be yet another alter-ego of 9a0c by many users, as he appeared right after Limeade was revealed to be 9a0c, refused to answer questions, wasn't known before becoming a manager and his 'ki page looking identical to Limeades. He also became manager exactly one year after Mustard became manager.
On March 25, 2026, he decided to resign due to him developing 'jakking fatigue.[2] The manager position on the Sharty was retired due to having become basically just another version of an admin.

DNB ban[edit | edit source]

Notes thread[edit | edit source]
On August 11, 2025, he started making threads where soyteens could request their janny notes (small description about you and what jannies thought about you).[4]
A 'teen also got the shiny ban message: (USER WAS GRILLED FOR THIS POST) after saying "BBC SAUCE you should be ban me (and you can choose the ban length, WAAOW!)"[5]
Soygem Pass[edit | edit source]
As the new manager, BBQ Sauce would be responsible for the approval of new Soygem Passes.[To my knowledge, he never gave any passes and applications were as dead as they have always been.] He outlined his criteria for who to award a pass in a /gem/ thread created on August 14, 2025. Stating that passes would only be given to people who deserve it, with recognizable OC and a post history that doesn't look like a /qa/ catalog being requirements for getting the 'gem pass.[EVEN DOE MOST NUPASSERS WE'RE GIGA COALERS][6]
Cytube[edit | edit source]
On August 19, 2025, he would announce an upcoming Cytube, complete with a new CSS theme.[7] The next day, the Cytube was held, and it would end up being the longest-running Cytube in Sharty history, going from 9 PM to 7:50 AM UTC.[8]
Second notes thread[edit | edit source]
On August 23, 2025, he would hold another notes thread, this time in relation to the beginning of his first mediator hiring wave.[9]
August 26 Leakage[edit | edit source]
On August 26, 2025, an eruption of leakage took place when a user who posted loli porn was unbanned on /pol/, and BBQ stated in the IRC that he wished for the user to stay banned (and that other admins wanted him unbanned),[10] but that he also believes real-life CSAM material is much worse than loli. A 'p -> child pornography wordfilter was established temporarily.[11] The user was later banned again but many soyteens were still upset at the administration for him ever being unbanned in the first place.[12]
Board Banner Contest[edit | edit source]
On November 23, 2025, he hosted a contest for board banners excluding /soy/,[13] and winners were promised gempasses. There was no further followup on this, and considering that BBC Sauce later resigned, it likely won't have any. Another admin accidentally unstickied the original thread, causing it to be slid. Quote had to make a new one.

Due to close proximity between Soot's return and BBQ's appearence(Just a MONTH), it's often rumorized that he might actually be Soot in disguise. Additionally, both users grew tired of the bald man with glasses site and decided to retire.
