The story tells of a supposed video game called "Sonic's Punishment" where you control Mario with the sole purpose of torturing and killing Sonic, who is tied to a table, in extremely graphic and horrifying ways. It then introduces its supposed creator, Dustin Chubuck, who went by the online name "Funtendo," and who carried out a mass shooting at a SEGA convention on September 9, 2001, killing three children. The video then recounts that the incident went largely unnoticed by the general public because the events of 9/11 occurred a few days later.
Then it is revealed that on the internet, the "wrong people" were inspired by Chubuck's crimes to create an imageboard known as Funtendo Enterprises, where they worshipped him and "harassed, dehumanized, and doxed people" regardless of age or gender, driving their victims to suicide.
Later, a 30-year-old forum user known as "Prophet Chubuck" (Powerword: Alex Davis) doxed a YouTuber named Arcade Sonic (Powerword: Jeremy Garcia) who had spoken negatively about the forum. Afterward, Alex finds Jeremy IRL, knocks him unconscious, kidnaps him, and takes him to his house.
