Proponents of Saltism believe in the unbanning of gore and newfag repellant, rules against namefagging, and the relaxation of certain rules. Most proponents of saltism are heavily opposed to Quotism and Quote himself, due to his extremely controversial choices and lackluster rule, going as far to revert some of his choices.

- Minimal moderation, such as the removal of wordfilters, gore and offsite activity being tolerated, especially splinters and Roblox raids
- The removal of /craft/, because "Video games are for manchildren"
- Namefagging should be banned
- No tolerance for pedo variants, such as Smuglet
- Trannies/Furfags are the coal that is killing /soy/
- Dequotification, or the removal of Quote-era Jannies and bans
