SoyBooru, the main source of OC in the Soyverse

Original Content, or OC, is anything (You) created yourself, or have changed enough for it to be seen as a distinct piece of media. It is the very soul of 'jakking and the Soysphere, one of the pillars of the Soymmunity, and both the gem that saved the Party, and the coal that killed the Party. Many people throughout Soystory have debated what makes OC good, whether it be line weight, effort to jank ratio, detail, the use of MSPaint, the effort, the appeal, or the versatility, but all of these make up good OC.

You have to seperate 'toss and 'jaks, as both are OC, but what makes one a Gem makes the other Coal, and vice versa.

On Soyjaks; Some widely used 'jaks are dogshit visually, but are so versatile and funny that they become utter gemeralds, while some variant:unknowns are high effort, yet very niche and underused, even dusty. Truly, the key to good variant is a much more ethereal, undefinable aura. About half believe that to make good 'jak, you have to make it unique, soulful and just generally enjoyable. This has lead many 'jakkers to believe that following one's heart leads to a good 'jak, and furthermore that only people pure of heart (and skin color) can make a good 'jak. The other side states that effort and research can result in a good 'jak, and that one should study their forefathers when making one, though oldfag dysphoria results in utter brim most of the time. This mostly applies to 'toss, as the quality of 'toss is based in facts and logic and objective quality and effort rather than in undefinable terms.

On 'toss; To make a good 'toss, you have to put in effort and spare no detail. You also have to be fairly decent at anatomy and art, or at least tracing, as 'toss is far more objective in its quality and cannot (usually) have the same ethereal goodness as 'jaks can. 'toss should, ideally, be about an event, whether fictional or real, and should pander to one side or another, such as countries in a countrywar. Many pieces of 'toss, such as classical art parodies, namefag dramas, and political satire (literal 'toss), have gone on to penetrate normie culture and become mainstream, though some consider this a bad thing. This, however, proves that 'toss can be high effort enough to appeal even to normal people, and is a testament to the power of art, or something. 'toss is a load-bearing trend in Soy Culture, and one of the most important parts of said culture.

OC is most commonly posted on the Soybooru, and is preferred by all to be posted there, rather than reuploaded to your shitty YouTube channel. Soybooru, in a quick description, is a site where one goes to post Soyjaks and Soy-adjacent NAS to be archived for use by future 'teens and study by Gemologists. Posts are tagged by the users and OP, and can be searched for either by post ID or the aforementioned tags.
