Operation Pixelstorm is a gem.Operation Pixelstorm was an attempt to colonize and gem up the brimstone areas known as Canvases. The prelude of the campaign was fought on a r/place splinter, was redirected to the cesspool of coal known as Reddit which would become the ultimate battle. This raid is regarded as a win for the 'teens, due to the Imp created surviving the first day and appearing in a Reddit's official jewtube channel video.[1]
r/place[edit | edit source]
r/place is a pixelcanvas event, that has been the inspiration for other canvases like pixelplanet.fun, and pixelcanvas, that takes place in the subreddit r/place. The event has been held in 2017, 2022, and 2023, the latter being held due to a backlash that involved the Reddit's administration at the time.[2]

The Plan[edit | edit source]
The original plan was to gem up r/place[3] with numerous soyjaks and/or a soyjak.party link (because we need more redditors on the site or something).
The Distraction Raid[edit | edit source]
A day prior[4] to the opening of r/place, a soyteen who might have been a detractor from the CIA posted a thread calling to raid rplace.live. This resulted in a Total Sharty Victory and the purge of tranny brimstone on the site and its subsequent replacement with Glistening Gemeralds. Unfortunately it was in the wrong canvas, and not the real deal, it made the 'teens miss the opportunity of going with the inital momentum of the event. Whether this was on purpose or not is up for interpretation.
The Raid[edit | edit source]
The official r/place raid started at around 14:00 GMT, a few hours after the rplace.live, with one of the 'teens saving up space near the middle of the canvas, at 153,-153; with a black and yellow checkerboard pattern while they waited for an automation script to be discovered. When the next best thing, a "script" that shows you where to place individual pixels (you still had to find the coordinates and do the placing manually)[5] was found, the original checkerboard destroyed by 1000 Destinycord cuckolds and after arguing for coordinates,[6] 'teens filled up a space with checkerboards again (this time further from the center, to avoid attracting unnecessary attention from groups that had superior manpower and botting capabilities), in 415, 260; and some time after that, at around 17:00 GMT the 'teens started painting a calm swedejak pixelart that was decided in a thread a day before. The upper part of the checkerboard was painted over by argentinians, who were making an argentinian flag, but they just painted it further down, and construction continued. The construction had been completed at 18:30 GMT. There were border skirmishes and a 'teen diplomat was dispatched to deal with the Phish who bordered the imp, and the endeavour wasn't very successful.[It just wasn't, ok?] The 'teens managed to hold off the imp against all the external groups, such as the aforementioned Phish, the argentinians, and random griefers. But unfortunately the logistics of this campaign was very raisin, due to the lack of manpower at the time and Reddit letting you use newly created accounts with 0 karma, it was very difficult for the 'teens. Then the Bad Apple 'cord joined in the fight and eventually, the 'teens were overwhelmed by the artillery and botnet support and then were ordered to make a tactic withdrawal back to the 'arty at around 20:00 GMT. Leaving the imp to be painted over by a Bad Apple botted animation.
The Aftermath[edit | edit source]
Indeed, The Swede has lasted for long enough to appear in the official r/place canvas timelapse: day 1 video for 15 seconds (0:30 to 0:45) and the official r/place 2023 canvas timelapse for 3 seconds (from 0:07 to 0:10) which means that, despite being unable to take over the entirety of r/place, this raid can be thought of as a Sharty victory due to the appearance of the soyjak in videos posted on the official reddit YouTube channel. The 'wedejak coordinates were 416, 262; and survived for 2 hours and 30 minutes, 2% of the total time span of the canvas. An incredible feat, considering there were thousands of people in the canvas, and the size of it. It has been immortalized in the canvas archive.
Outcome[edit | edit source]
The campaign is regarded as a 'teen victory. But a more decisive victory could be achieved if the 'teens had tried to rebuilt the imp at further locations during the coming days of the r/place event. There were series of canvas expansions done by the reddit mods and these could have been exploited by the 'teens if they had done it, as they added a lot of empty space that could be used. Due to this the imp did not survive to see the end of the canvas. If it did it would have earned the imp a spot on Wikipedia's r/place page image, which would've be a BIG 'arty victory. But it is understandable why it wasn't done, as there was an abnormal manpower shortage of manpower at the time, unusual for the scale of the event, and smaller raids on less important targets that have gained more traction from the 'teens.
Future plans[edit | edit source]
In case of a future r/place, such as a r/place 2025, 'teens VILL make a thread on /soy/ and VILL go on Reddit and make an Imp, or another 'jak.
