(((Democracy))) is a form of government where the people under it are in control of it, ie. a rule of the majority. It is technically different from republicanism, as in democracy it is implied everyone should have a say in government, while in republicanism only a select group of people in theory are allowed to vote. This does not stop everyone on the planet, including this very article, from conflating them. It is the way in which most countries are run today, including the West and autocracies/dictatorships which LARP as democratic so the UN won't send them a strongly worded letter about human rights violations and do nothing else beyond that. Coincidentally, the world has also gone to complete shit, but Reddit and (((the ADL))) assure me its because of bigoted chuds doing black and transgender genocides.
History
Modern democracy can be traced back to ancient Greece, where city states such as Athens allowed free, native men to vote and speak in government assembly. Some other democratic institutions existed as well, but were eventually BTFO'd by the Roman Empire.
After Romes collapse the emerging European states took a while to implement any sort of democratic systems, until around 1100-1200. Several countries would go on to adopt democratic systems, such as the Magan Carta in England. Poland is another example of one of these, it had a major democratic assembly comprised of the nobility, the king was elected and couldn't do anything without their approval. Just ignore the fact that the Polish-Lithuanian szlachta (nobility) were all (((Jewish))), and it was a globohomo empire created by enslaving and raping Russians in the east while the Jewish nobility got rich off them. This beacon of democracy was raped by Prussia, Austria and Russia in 1795 and ceased to exist. In 1776 the American Revolution took place, and despite what the left says, the founding fathers were suspicious of pure democracy and left it out of the U.S. Constitution and Declaration of Independence🗝️[1].
Around the same time the French Revolution happened, which my latinx nonbinary college professor told me was the people rising up against the evil monarchy to have the freedom of abortion and gay sex or something. In reality, it was just some megalomaniac nobles wanting more power and using the common people to achieve a brutal dictatorship that ruined France forever. This event is where a lot of modern politics derive from, and thus was the beginning of the death of Soyjak.Party.
From 1815-1914 more countries would adopt semi democratic programs, but many tradGOD nations took a more aristocratic approach, such as Germany and Austria-Hungary. In 1914 World War 1 began over Balkan politics (not detailed here). At first the war was just about land and borders, but by the Russian withdrawal in 1918 it became an ideological one as well. After Britain baited Germany into pissing off America, the USA joined the war to spread democracy to the evil dictatorships of the Central Powers. Notably, Germany couldn't surrender until their monarchy and nobility were dismantled
The Treaty of Versailles split central Europe into a bunch of democratic rump states. Surprisingly, having a bunch of ethnic groups with no history of democracy within arbitrary countries, and dismantling millenia old power structures in former prosperous countries figure out how to do democracy on their own DIDN'T end all of humanity's problems. Notably, these countries would either elect authoritarian leaders who could actually do something, or they would flounder and be steeped with corruption until the authoritarian countries raped them.
This culminated with World War 2, where the EVIL FASCIST countries tried to destroy our democracy so they could make us speak German, kill Jews, not jerk off to furry porn every day and keep everyone except STRAIGHT WHITE MEN from existing. Thankfully, all the democratic nations teamed up to punch the Nazis, including the Soviet Union (which wasn't heckin democratic and was a bigoted chudcel commienazi dictatorship that oppressed wholesome LGBT queens).
After WW2 democracy was spread to every country ever. Africans were allowed to make democracy, though they didn't and just continued killed each other while stealing western aid money and reproducing exponentially. What chuds would call communist countries have "people's", "republic", or "democratic" in their state names, so they're actually wholesome or however I get muh updoots (ev&oe no plebbitor believes this and xey all believe xey are enlightened for calling north korea a heckin unwholesome dictatorship that oppresses troonx rights). This doesn't keep evil Neo-Nazi bigots like Donald Trump, Xi Jinping, Vladimir Putin, my neighbor with an American flag on his porch, and you from being obstacles towards our one world government democracy.
Why (Modern) Democracy Doesn't Work
- It is a common belief that EVERYONE should be able to vote, even though in the past it was limited to respected, productive people who had stock in politics and could fight to enforce their vote. Now, even if you're retarded, have no knowledge of politics or economics, do nothing but goon, you can decide who gets to run the country[a]
- People are completely retarded now, social media, internet porn, and non-existant genetic regulation has ruined the mass population. Most people will vote based on who has the funnier TikTok clips, who mogs harder, or who will let them get more bread and circuses faster. Even if you vote based on a nuanced understanding of politics and economics, the next 10 people behind you are probably voting for the opposite candidate based on TikToks they're watching at an obnoxiously loud volume
- Mob mentality negates individual intelligence, which is why pure democracy denegrated into authoritarianism one way or another
Our Democracy
Our Democracy is a phrase used by the left or neocons, similar to "decent human being" or "how does this affect YOU personally". It's an oversaturated phrase used to describe how something will destroy "our democracy", like revoking birthright citizenship or not importing millions of immigrants every year o algo. Its commonly used in arguments to argue against internet anonymity, free speech, and other actually good things. It is used in a way that presumes instead of the government existing for the people, people exist for the government, and therefore the argument holds tyrannical implications.

Notes
- ↑ a lot of western countries have votes completely open to foreigners one way or another, so a bunch of brownoids who hate you and your country can decide who gets to run the government
