SNCA:SVG

SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) is an vector graphics image format that instead of using pixels/rasterization, it uses geometric equations, like drawing a line from 1 point to another or something. This means that no matter how far you zoom in, the image appears completely smooth. It also usually means it's a lot smaller than the PNG equivalent, though this depends.
If you are thinking about "learning" SVG, writing it manually, don't, that's retarded. Instead, use one of these programs:
- Microsoft Expression Design. It's quite basic but easy to use. (Some 'tist built a whole website just for this program, but who's complaining.)
- Adobe Illustrator, it's a good program. Pirate it here.
- Inkscape
On the 'ki[edit | edit source]
It's used on the 'ki for templates due to them looking smooth on mobile, for example {{AspieFandom}}.
