Web Browser
A web browser, or simply a browser, is an application that you use to visit your favorite Soysphere sites and any other SNCA sites. Browsers function by retrieving a web page's files from a web server and displaying them to the user via a rendering engine. Almost all web browsers are based on Chromium or Firefox.
Gemmy Browsers[edit | edit source]
These browsers are well-made and private. You should use them to visit the Sharty and its xister sites.
- LibreWolf - Firefox-based. Basically Firefox without all the bullshit. Heavily hardened and security-focused.
- Tor Browser - Firefox-based. Routes all traffic through the Tor network.
- Mullvad Browser - Firefox-based. Deletes all history and cookies when you close the browser and includes several built-in security features. Intended to be used in conjunction with Mullvad VPN but can be used on its own.
Iron Browsers[edit | edit source]
These browsers don't necessarily have any anti-features but they aren't considered the best.
- Brave - Chromium-based. Built-in ad blocker, built-in VPN,[probably a glowie honeypot doebeit] several security features. Created by the guy who invented JavaScript who now regrets doing so. Said creator also made trannies seethe or something.
- Ungoogled Chromium - Chromium without Google shit, but no additional features.
- Waterfox - Firefox-based. Disables telemetry.
- Pale Moon - Based on an old version of Firefox. Le heckin retro.
- GNU IceCat - Firefox-based. Intended to be a fully free version without proprietary shit.
- Floorp - Firefox-based. No telemetry and lots of customization. Made in Japan.
- GNOME Web (Formerly Epiphany) - WebKit-based. Private but not many features. Many sites break since it's a non-standard web browser. Intended to be used as a component of the GNOME desktop environment.
- Vivaldi - Chrome-based. Super customizable and claims to be private, but it's proprietary so there's no way to verify. It is said that you can find shit Vivaldi cares about there.
- Konqueror - WebKit-based. Intended to be used as part of the KDE desktop environment. Also functions as a file manager.
- Firefox - Normies use this when they want to feel different. Is free and open-source but includes telemetry. Also the devs are a bunch of trannies. Use arkenfox. Despite what you may have heard, it's actually a good browser.
Coal Browsers[edit | edit source]
These browsers are all proprietary spyware and should not be used.
- Google Chrome and Chromium - Literal Google spyware. Most normies use it.
- Microsoft Edge - Included with Windows. Replaced Internet Explorer. Most people only use it to install another web browser and never touch it again.
- Safari - Included with all Apple systems and unavailable on other platforms.
- Opera - Chinese shit. Also the X account for Opera GX posts unfunny Reddit tranny humor.
Honorable Mention[edit | edit source]
- Ladybird - In active development, not ready for daily use. Fully custom open-source browser engine with no proprietary code. Only for MacOS and Linux currently but will have a Windows version in the future.
