Yotsuba, also known as Yotsuba Imageboard and named after the character Yotsuba is what 4chan runs on. It's written in PHP. There's an improved version made by this very wiki called OpenYotsuba.

2chan runs on the "futaba" script, meaning "two leaves", so 4chan runs on the "yotsuba" script, meaning "four leaves" because it's 2chan x 2 o algo
