P (Sesotho: Parbamoso) is a both high-level programming, and a markup language, developed by the Basotho branch of Microsoft. It's used to replace HTML/CSS, JavaScript and SQL, offering a full package to create websites. One notable website written in P is jakparty.soy
After a layoff of their US/UK programmers, on September 7, 2021, Microsoft has opened their office in the city of Maseru, offering jobs to local citizens. Their first major project was the creation of the P programming language.
The development team consisted of 5 total people, who consequently became moderators of jakparty.soy. Each team member worked for 20 minutes a day, and most of the code was vibe-coded with JartyGPT. Similar approach was later used to moderate the jakparty.soy.
Work on P was finished on July 18, 2022. The first website with P was created the same day.
