The mod's title

Soylatro, also called gemlatro or balatrojaks, is a work-in-progress mod for the bone-chilling, gender-redefining, indieslop troonslop game Balatro, featuring soyjaks in place of all 150 jokers in the game. The project started on March 12, 2026, and is currently in the early stages of production.

The project was initiated by a janitor from soybooru named Coemskong after he created some card art for the game using soyjaks, which sparked his desire to make a complete mod with all the game's cards replaced by soyjaks. The reason for this is, obviously, to clean up the game's bad reputation as a safe haven for trannies and completely redefine it into a gem.

Development

As it is still an extremely recent project, details about its development remain uncertain, mainly due to the fact that it is being sustained by just a single unemployed nigga. At the moment, the goal is to remake the art for all 150 joker cards in the game. If this goal is achieved early, the next step is to remake all tarot and spectral cards, as well as the standard deck cards. Expectations of also covering jokers from other modpacks are anticipated. Details on where the modpack will be made available are still unknown.

Some notable namefags have also been invited to participate in the project, with one of them being Rot, who confirmed that he will take part in development by creating art for some cards.

Reception

The project has gone unnoticed by the vast majority of 'teens, as it is in the early stages of production and remains relatively confined to soybooru and boorum. You can follow the development here. The project itself seems promising, and only time will tell if something will actually come of it. Coemskong has already confirmed that he will not abandon the project until it is fully completed.
