Salt, also known as Chud ## Admin, admin, Administrat0r, or NuAdmin, is the current and sixth owner of soyjak.party, soyjakwiki.org and soybooru.com. On August 9, 2026, control of the site was transferred to him by Quote during the Second Great Handover. The transfer resulted in an outage lasting roughly 10-20 hours^{[it just is, ok?snopes?it just is, ok?how???whatbut... why?]}, reportedly due to complications with moving site infrastructure. Little is known about Salt personally, although several major changes marked the beginning of his tenure. All Quote-era bans were pardoned, many of Quote's jannies were removed from the staff roster, and Salt announced plans to restructure the site rules, most notably removing rule 7.

His arrival also coincided with a large PPH spike, which exceeded 2,300 at 4:59 AM UTC on August 9. He was initially received positively by many 'teens on both SoyBooru and the Sharty, in large part due to Quote's unpopularity and inactivity. His early reforms led some 'teens to compare him to the prophetic Admin Ϫ; others believe he is the site's accursed Admin 6. Some 'teens also initially speculated that Salt was merely Quote LARPing under a new identity; however, this theory has since largely fallen out of favor.

Unlike his predecessors, Salt has expressed hostility towards namefagging and generally posts under the generic Administrator capcode or variations of the word "Administrator". The nickname "Salt", along with any other nicknames, was given to him by 'teens shortly after the beginning of his tenure to distinguish him from previous administrators and give him a more recognizable identity. So far his only comment on his nickname was him saying he liked salt when asked what his favorite condiment is. He acknowledged the nickname on SoyBooru as "what people call me".

History

First day

On his first day as owner, Salt banned namefagging on /soy/, Averi, Smuglet posters, and VPNs, although the VPN ban was accidental and quickly reverted. He also temporarily removed namerolls, but restored them after the removal proved unpopular with 'teens. Salt later cattywiped /j/, claiming that there was "too much porn" left over from Quote's janny cabal. He also removed the DOCTOS wordfilter and other wordfilters to everyone's praise, and pardoned all Quote-era bans. Salt also deleted /craft/, much to the chagrin of Mist. He caused Mist's clitty to leak, resulting in his ban.

Rule changes

Salt gave high priority to rewriting the rules, allowing gore, 'cado, and Roblox discussion. This resulted in an immediate wave of gore spam and Roblox threads. He also cracked down on pornno he hasn't. Porn is still relatively common in every board but /soy/, where that shit got replaced by (more) gore in terms of being the de facto "HTSM bait".

Acting wiki admin

After the 2026 Soyjak Wiki hack, he stepped in as the acting wiki administrator. He undid Trinny's vandalization and announced that he did not plan to give anyone else administrative privileges for the sake of security. As the wiki admin, he promoted Soyoyuki, the former owner of SECApedia, to a moderator, in order to help carry out his and Cobblestone's plan to expand the scope of the 'ki. He also tweaked the wordfilter in order to be more in line with the main site.

Takeover of SoyBooru

Salt transferred the servers of SoyBooru on August 21, 2026, effectively assuming ownership of the site. Shortly after, he announced there will be a "restructuring" of the 'ru.

Glowie allegations

A merge of allegations calling salt out to be a glowie were revealed on /soy/. Many 'teens stopped posting or went to other DNB splinters because of this, but the person who revealed the glownigger allegations later accidentally revealed ximself to be bluffing and xhe was using ai to make the bait in the first place. ^{[They just did, ok?]}
