The Pre-Soot Era is the happenings between 2002 and 2020 before Soot bought and saved the party during the REAL first Soypocalypse.
History 2002-2010[2][edit | edit source]
Soyjak.party was initially created as a splinter of 4chan, which was also a splinter of Something Awful. Branching off of 4chan after moot locking /test/ and banning of proto-IAS trollface[1], and wojaks after an incident that have the site unwanted attention. Due to a large portion of the 4chan userbase being upset by this, a splinter was in the talks of being made, called Soyjak.Party.
Tea was the first administrator and the founding father of Soyjak.party, running the site as admin from 2002-2005~. During this time Tea had several co-admins and developers, similar to modern day Soyjak.party, due to the Jolt controversy, Tea would step down, and a moderator named Laird would temporarily become admin 2 for a few months, until M9MK a former developer from other imageboards, bought the site and came to serve as the official third administrator in 2006. Between 2009-2011 M9MK would take a backseat and act as co-admin giving the reins to Zole.
Tea[edit | edit source]
Tea was the original admin of soyjak.party.[3] Tea has said he had the idea of a new imageboard since 1994 with early implementations being made, later in 2002 with the help of Jolt he would finally create soyjak.party, before Jolt got fired and replaced with laird. Tea would run the site from 2002~2005~, with the involvement of Jolt as a developer and moderator bringing much controversy, this would begin the first cracks in Tea's rule, as the 2005 year came to an end, he announced he would leave the site for good. A moderator named Laird would temporarily become admin 2 for a few months, until M9MK a former developer from other imageboards, bought the site and came to serve as the official third administrator in 2006.
The reason why he was called "Tea" is generally unknown. Although it may derive from the fact that he was british unlike the rest of the administration team who were american which made him notoriously get made fun of in the IRC.

Jolt was a pedophilic Soyjak.party mod who joined the 'party janny team in August 2004 and then eventually got demoted in October 2005 for being a pedo and a lazy coder.[4] He banned everyone he didn't like while leaving 'p on the 'log and often got into fights with tea. He also spammed 'p on the 'log index himself after he got banned.
Why did he get banned?[edit | edit source]
TL;DR: Jolt asked his mum if he could live with soyjak party jannies and his mum said no. geg.
"I won't get into details, but one of the decisions was that the [soyjak party janny] team (not the most important), which was an e-team of people randomly distributed all around the USA, was to move in together in a flat in NYC a la Friends so it would be easier to get the coding and the managing a lot easier. Plus it made sense as a lot of soyteens were to start college the year after and NYC was definitely an option. So after the convention they all went to their parents (lol kids) and "came out" to their mom. The bottom line is Jolt's mom got scared and said you're moving with your auntie and uncle in bel-air. And that's all there is to it."

Laird was a former 4chan moderator that was fired by moot after warning users on /test/ about moot wanting to delete the board after an incident.

he created TestIRC and helped tea set up the original soyjakparty.net domain. he later created the soyjak archive, the predecessor to what would become soybooru and this very wiki.
M9MK[edit | edit source]
M9MK was the 3rd official administrator of Soyjak.party, being hailed as the best admin in the site's history. [2] He would serve as administrator from 2006-2011, his reign began with distrust as he brought on offsiters like Melon and þoot as developers and moderators, M9MK and Melon initial banned /raid/ and raiding in general, he soon brought it back. With M9MK taking a more direct approach at moderation he encouraged raids, and would ban demoralizers, spammers, and especially jartycvck 'p spammers back in the 2000s. The site began a surge in activity, away from being the offbrand 4cvck and more into its own identity, adapting proto IAS and embracing it as site culture.
Notable events during this era was the raids on 4chan, users finally coming home after the Iraq war and posting their footage, DIS Dead Iraqi Baby spammers being banned, Newground raids, and Myspace trolling.
He is considered the ancestor to Froot.
Melon[edit | edit source]
Melon was a former developer and moderator on soyjak.party. Hated for his dislike of raiding, this led to 'teens 'oxxing xim. Where it was found on his myspace account xhe has down syndrome GEEEEEG, M9MK would step in and prevent further 'oxing of xim.
2010-2020 Zole's reign and the REAL first Soypocalypse:[edit | edit source]
Zole[edit | edit source]
Zole was the 4th official admin of Soyjak.party, with a very mixed reputation of highs and lows due to his lengthy ownership of the site. Serving as admin from 2011-2015~. He would run the site with the help of M9MK and other developers. Zole would allow more NAS onto the party at the start of 2011, gigas, frogs, and annoying orange would begin to be posted. M9MK truthers would begin to hate Zole and his laissez faire outlook on the party. Despite the change in ownership, more people had access to the internet via smartphones and soyjak.party would begin to increase in usage over the early 2010s.
The peak and death of the first Soyjak.party would happen under Zole's ownership.

soyjakmartin was the 5th official admin of soyjak.party. he lives in brazil and reigned from 2015-2020. when he stepped down following a soyteen almost getting killed by ISIS insurgents.
