The Third Great Soysurgency was darker than coal...

The Third Great Soysurgency a.k.a. Mousegate was a mass clitty leakage event primarily occuring on /soy/, which started on 18 October 2025. It began as a soyteen riot against the jannies before evolving into a purity spiral and boogeyman hunt against bait that made soyteens leak (Terrible Mouse and HTSM).

Starting as protests against the Quote administration's permissiveness towards a single^[1] Terrible Mouse spammer that had baited soyteens into thinking he was an entire "Mousegram" (as confirmed by Mustard later) and bait on 18 October, shitflinging broke out between NAS posters and IAS posters within hours.

By 20 October, the nature of the conflict had transformed after the "confirmation" of "Mousegram" existence and the "discovery" of "HTSMcord," leading to shitflinging between soyteens while frogposters demoralized. While a large portion of the Third Soysurgency could be considered a shitflinging larp between nusois and spammers, however, it did lead to the creation of /soy2/ and greatly increased the value of HTSM as effective bait due to the observation that it elicits an out-of-proportion reaction from soyteens (some of whom were "falling" for HTSM bait as a form of bait itself).

On October 18, one of the Sataniafags expressed his concern over the quality of /soy/ over the past few weeks. He claimed that nightly raids had come back in a way^{[because terrible mouse and HTSM bait is clearly as bad as CP]} and that Quote was just straight up allowing Telegram 'corders to ruin the board. He later turned his reply into a thread, which got deleted roughly 10 minutes after it was posted. 'Teens previously in the thread and got angry and began protesting.

The thread which sparked the shitflinging

A thread was created on /soy/ calling for the removal of NAS and offsiters, sparking the initial shitflinging.^[2]
Shortly after, another thread was created, in which Nusoicacas began to larp as "Soyops", supersaging and feeding bait instead of just ignoring it.^[3] Almost immediately, Soyops recieved ridicule, being seen as a larp akin to UTTP, spawning various parodies.
A falseflagger quickly made a bot to spam Soyops termination images under every nuthread.^[3]
A shit ton of catty wiping occurred causing the PPH to reach 1100.
Another falseflagger pretended to be a Soyopper LARPing as a UTTPnigger.

For a couple of hours, all the brimstone was destroyed in the catty wipe. However, it persisted in reppey sections.
Teens decided to target the storybots and numberjacks posters by supersaging their threads.

Terrible Mouse was the dailyjak, a huge blow for the Soyteens.
One 'teen points out exactly what the aforementioned Satania poster was trying to say and teens actually listen.
The log is wiped multiple times by the mouse spammer again.
/pol/ was cattywiped by FPEniggers and spics. Many threads were rendered inoperable due to constant supersaging.
A thread calling out the state of the site was made, with it later being suspiciously supersaged multiple times in a row. Some soyteens alleged the Jannies were supporting the spammers.^[4]
Quote started a terrible mouse banwave, with "terrible mouse spammer" filling up banned.php.^[5] The terrible mouse spammer was later confirmed by Mustard to be a samefag.

Things calm down, but 'teens are still angry at Quote.
HTSM spam begins.

Phase 2[edit | edit source]

October 20 (PM)[edit | edit source]

After Terrible Mouse was "banned," soyteens decided to target HTSM and got falseflagged by a ban evader into thinking that HTSM spam was from slavniggers on a Russian altchan collection known as 0chan, specifically spammed by Swinny cucks, as the Swinny is one of the featured altchans on 0chan, leading to the creation of Mega-threads to discuss HTSMspam and its relation to swinnycucks and slav(e)s on off-site imageboards.^[6]^[7] HTSM exploded in popularity as bait as posting a single HTSMquote was enough for you to be called a Russian "pee dough" and reported.
Theories arise that 0chan and the swinny were behind the waves of 'p spam in the catty, when media approval was still not in the site
Screenshots from 0chan are taken by the ban evader (likely posted by the ban evader himself) and "translated," "revealing" that non-existent offsiters were attempting to find opportunities to make da fuggen nusoiz leak and were also literal pedophiles.^[7]^[8]
Inaction from jannies despite the "evidence" led soyteens to mass report HTSM. Some retardGODs received bans for abusing urgent reports, sparking some unjustified vitriol against the staff.

HTSM spam died out as a result of its association with offsiter pedophiles, the captcha breaking and eventual bans from moderation.

The mouse spammer wakes up again to the dismay of many, attempting to cattywipe /soy/.^[9]^[10]
'Teens become angry at Jannies again, spamming the board.^[11]
Original creator of the Terrible Mouse 'jak has a hecking wholesome oppenhiemer moment.^[12]
Cobblestone Spam starts, with 'teens accusing Cobblestone of allegedly enabling Mousecord.^[13]^[14]
HTSM spammers return in replies.^[15]
Jannies ban Mouse spammers again.
Once again, Mouse spammers return. Obsessed o algo.^[16]
Demoralisers wake up.
Soyops larpers return.^[17]^[18]
Some 'teens express interest in the idea of creating a splinter.^[19]
Floydcord wakes up.^[20]
Cobson Spam begins^[21]

Mustard creates a Terrible Mouse memeflag labeled "telegram" for a gempass user
"Gemcord" spam begins in response^[22]
/soy/ is locked.^[23]
/soy/ is unlocked, wiped with Terrible Mouse again.^[24]

October 24[edit | edit source]

/soy2/ is unlocked. HTSM and other "/qa/esque trooncore media" are banned on this board even doe it should have been banned from regular /soy/ in the first place, thus serving as a bunker for /soy/ refugees.
A few hours after the creation of the board, a Quote hate thread would be created^[25]^[26], inviting other soyteens to discuss who could be a good replacement for Quote. This is the most popular thread on the board at the moment, with over 800 reppeys and many GETs being obtained inside of it.

Terrible Mouse spam has completely died out on every board, although baiters are still occasionally spamming many boards (except /soy2/) with HTSM.
During EuroHours /soy2/ hits top 3 boards with a PPH of around 50, while during MuttHours it's the top board with a PPH of over 300.

Post-phases[edit | edit source]

Not much has happened since October 25th. Terrible Mouse and HTSM spam seems to have slowed down for now, although the 'log quality on /soy/ is still very brimmy. It's also worth mentioning that the PPH on /soy2/ and /tdh/ has plummeted down to single digit numbers. There could be several reasons why this happened, but the most likely is that everyone moved on and stopped giving attention to baiters^🗝️. Regardless, this whole situation was a big fat nothingburger fueled by baiters that could have been easily avoided if nusois could ignore bait.
