Proton is a company that provides free private mail and and VPN services based in Switzerland.[1] It is best known for being le private and not keeping logs of their users' activities. It maintains its reputation by paying tech YouTubers to shill it. The ads always explicitly mention Switzerland privacy laws that supposedly allow Proton to dodge subpoenas left and right. It is a lie. The "Proton Ecosystem" has been modeled after Jewgle, advertising many datamining services. Only a few are relevant to the average soyteen.

Proton VPN[edit | edit source]

The Proton VPN logo.

Proton VPN is the solution used by both unemployed 'teens and seamonkey 'p spammers alike, because it has a free plan, which only requires giving up your privacy in order to use it.[2] It logs everything you do and will quickly ban you for things like scraping, mass scanning, DDoS, etc.[3] It has been used by notorious criminals and they all got raped. The free plan offers a variety of servers, all of which are overflowing with jeets; doesn't come with port forwarding and serves a single device per account, so it's just a proxy with extra overhead.

Connecting to Proton VPN[edit | edit source]

OPSEC DEMON

To connect to Proton VPN[Why would you?] , you will need an account. It will data mine you throughout the process, this is normal. You can download their app for Windows or Linux, however you can download an OpenVPN config from the on-site settings section, if that's more your cup of tea. You can also utilize the CLI app (picrel) if you're #4ck3r.

Proton Mail[edit | edit source]

Proton Mail is a mailbox with a fed. It's designed to have the look and feel of Gmail, but it comes with a few bells and whistles, like XSS protection[it just is, ok?] and SMTP configuration. It also offers email aliases, which allow you to make proxy mail addresses which route incoming emails into your inbox. However, you are not able to send email through them. The aliases are useful for making accounts for raiding. You can have up to 10 of them with a free account, they are accepted by most platforms like Discord and Twitch but are blocked by more tech-savvy trannies at 4cuck. You can remove older proxy aliases to make room for new ones, making it possible to create lots of accounts.[4]
