Peak gems is the peak of gem consumption and production by the Soysphere. Soyentist have estimated that peak gems was already reached sometime in 2023 or 2024, as 'log and 'booru quality have decreased ever since. Soyentist have estimated that we will run out of gems by 2026, although skeptics have argued that there could be massive gem deposits in unexploited areas like Antarctica or the seabed.
