Sacking of /b/
| Sacking of /b/ was a Sharty winraid. Reason for victory: Resulted total soyteen control over the board for 6-7 hours. |
On June 8th, 2024, /soy/ conducted a raid of 4chan's /b/. The raid resulted in most of /b/ being wiped and soyteen control over the board for 6-7 hours.
Prelude[edit | edit source]
On June 8th, a 'teen called for a neutralplier raid on 4chan's /b/ board. Initial rallying was slow because /b/ raids are generally frowned upon.[1] /b/ has become a haven for porn, loli, and other forms of degeneracy which soyteens find distasteful. It is questionable how effective spamming 'jaks are on a board as degenerate as /b/, with some soyteens comparing raiding /b/ to, "pissing into an ocean of piss". Despite the overall sentiment, a raid was rallied.

First Wave (Neutral Spam)[edit | edit source]
The first wave of spam consisted of neutralplier blog posting spam. This initial wave of the raid was surprisingly successful. The normal Soyjak discrimination was strangely not present, and the raiders quickly realized jannies were either asleep or allowing the spam. The success of this first wave, began to draw in more soyteens who joined into the raid.

Second Wave (All Out Attack)[edit | edit source]
After about an hour, the neutralplier blog post theme of the raid was dropped. The goalpost was moved from annoying /b/ natives to a full catalog wipe. The /b/ natives, consisting of brain rotted coomers and gen X Neets put up little defense and were completely overwhelmed. As a last resort to save their loli threads, they deployed bots to constantly bump them. The Soyteens realized that their spam would not be able to slide the bot enforced loli porn threads and changed tactics. Eventually the bot enforced threads would reach a bump limit and autosage, allowing for a full catalog wipe. For 6-7 hours, Soyteens completely dominated /b/, sliding every thread without a bot bumping it and filling the 'log with gems. However, before the bump limits were reached, /b/'s jannies woke up and ended the raid. Many 'teens were banned.

Consequences[edit | edit source]
While the ultimate catalog wipe was not achieved, this raid showed that soyteens could easily ravage even the active 4chan boards without the protection of their jannies. While the exact numbers on each side are not known for certain, based on /b/'s and /soy/'s posts per day and /soy/ not being completely focused on the raid, the soyteen raiders were likely outnumbered several times over. This raid was certainly a total sharty victory.
