The Boorum,[1] more commonly known as the Broom, also known as the Brim[everyphono says this], is the official Sharty forum and the spiritual successor to soyjak.blog. It was developed and released as a part of the Nuuru, a full rewrite of the SoyBooru, and uses its own in-house engine.
Organization[edit | edit source]
The site is entwined with the SoyBooru and shares accounts with it. The forum is broadly organized into the following categories:
- General & Off-Topic
- Blogposting
- News & Politics
- Metadiscussion
- Multimedia
- Projects
History[edit | edit source]
Release[edit | edit source]
The site was released on February 26, 2026, as part of a full rewrite of the SoyBooru.[2]
Inaugurations[edit | edit source]
On March 5, 2026 Broot and Catter were assigned to be head administrators for the forum.
As March went on more changes and features would be added, notable ones being profile backgrounds on user's posts and post IDs.
On March 25, 2026 Enemies and Friends feature were added to the booru as well as the boorum, now users can bookmark who they have shitflings with or who they're best pals with!
April 2026[edit | edit source]
A spam war between Warrior-Z and Supreme take place within a thread that spans almost 100k replies (possibly more by the time of writing this) due to Supreme being promoted to orange sludged.
In late April, two users 'roder4' and 'MACARONI' would spam the 'ru with one word "roder4" and "snca" respectively, and somehow despite being gimmick accounts they would become the most popular namefags of the month, with immense seethe towards MACARONI in particular, likely due to the word SNCA being more provocative. This is known as the April 2026 Boorum crisis.
Archiving[edit | edit source]
Similar to the Schlog in its heydey, archiving the Boorum is incredibly hard, as due to Cloudflare, most archiving services don't work or are displayed in a nearly unusable state. The jannies have yet to fix this.
