E-daters banned from both the schlog (later unbanned) and the shroom
The Schlogpocalypse, Great Schlog Migration or Blog Crisis was an event/conflict which began when Froot announced the sale of the Schlog. This caused a schlog splinter called the Shroom to be created then shilled on the schlog, with a significant portion of the userbase and most of its Froot-era staff moving to there. The shroom was made because of strong anti-froot sentiment and because the schlog was being sold to a literal who, this literal who turned out to be a discord pedophile.
Two users of the Schlog, named Meursault and Soyteen Liker, known as Creasman and kuzburger on Kiwi Farms, announce that they were in an online relationship after they were seen publically flirting on the site, and also say that they lived 4 hours from each other and were planning to continue their relationship irl.[1] This information gets posted on the Shiwi, with Froot seeing it as the straw that broke the camel's back of his discontent with the site.[2] He bans both users in the schlog and collects their ips, which he leaks to the world on KF using Kuz's account he hacked for the Kolyma Restoration april fools event.[3] Afterwards he announces that he would be selling the site.
The situation stays in limbo for about a month with Froot not offering many updates of the debacle. User MoonMetropolis offers to buy the site from Froot but they have some disagreement while talking on discord and the deal doesn't go through.[4] Meanwhile Creasman constantly attentionwhores and shits up the Shiwi due to his banning, much to the dismay of its userbase. Wanting to have the last laugh, he reports Froot's account to the Kiwi Farms jannies[5][6] over a fedpost Froot made, promptly getting Froot's account banned.
With the schlog userbase left dissatisfied with the sale and uncertain about what kind of owner it would get, Doll and the soyjak.blog jannies decide to create a splinter called "Soyjak Forum" nicknamed "Shroom" to serve as a replacement, but the site goes through technical issues on its first day and quickly gets the domain Soyjak.forum lost after being reported by Skibidi Farms,[7] due to acquiring it from a shitty registrar.
Froot also briefly implies that he was planning to fill the schlog with ads instead of selling it, but this never goes through fruition likely due to a lack of users and adblocker.[8] He also demods all moderators from the site except for Mustard and bans anyone that mentions the shroom on the schlog[9] under the guise of advertising.
The schlog goes down briefly until the transfer to a buyer called Telnet and xher friends.[10] The site was sold for 11 XMR[a][11] to Froot, but a significant part of the userbase decides to stay on the Shroom instead, with the admin Shroot being SmallAnus of the previous site. This comes largely due to distrust over the nu admins and disagreement with the management rules from MoonMetropolis who became a janny.[12]
This leads to a forced rivalry between the two sites akin to Sharty vs. Jarty, with shroom links briefly spammed on the schlog by a few users. Things ended with both sites staying up although each facing minor unsuccessful DDOS attacks likely from off-siter foodists.[13][14] The situation stays this way although the shroom gets more activity with the old userbase.
Froot retired on May 9th and he pretty much went silent afterwards. (and his KF account got unbanned)[15] Evendoe Froot no longer owned the Sharty, and Quote could now technically do whatever xe wanted with the site, xe refused to put the schlog back on the sharty's top bar. Soyteen Liker and Meursault announce on the May 11 at the Shiwi and IRC that they ended their relationship[16][17][18] marking a symbolic ending to one of the most pointless and retarded dramas in the history of the Soysphere (and that's saying something).
Schlogpocalypse 2 was the period of days-long downtime and eventual death of the shlog that began shortly before former owner Jackson was exposed to be in a 'cord with also former owner and 'cordnigger p0rt42/telnet and permanently banned at the tail-end of the Shlog-Shroom War. Eventually, it was revealed that the site was gone for good with no plans of bringing it back, resulting in the definitive end of the Schlog.
The shlog went down on August 24, 2025. This happened shortly after the drama of MoonMetropolis, former owner, who was banned from the soysphere and eventually demodded by server owner Jackson. On August 19, Jackson would be convinced on by Shroot, the owner of the shroom, to shut the shlog down,[19] leaving the soyjak.blog domain to redirect to a default polish domain hoster.[20] However, soyjakblog.com still worked[21] and a newly created domain: soyjakblog.st[22][23] went online, with Jackson banned by the shlog admins.[24] It was believed that the new domains were being hosted by Shlog janny Soros, who was thought to be Angeleno[25] until the man himself went to the sharty to clarify that Soros wasn't him.[26][27] Eventually, on August 24, all domains went down, with soyjakblog.st redirecting to a database error after the captcha and the soyjakblog.com domain redirecting to the same Polish domain hoster.[28] On the next day, it was revealed that Jackson was a 'cordcuck, muddying even more the reputation of the site. Meanwhile, the nushlog userbase congregated on Onion Farms during the downtime, expressing a desire for the site to come back up, however, this would never materialize.[29]Quote eventually came forward on the shroom speculating that the reason the nushlog went down was because jackson might've deleted the database and the other jannies didn't have a backup, hence the error.[30] Things would come to an end definitively when MoonMetropolis declared that he would leave the soysphere forever and had no plans to bring the shlog back up,[31] claiming the reason that it went down was because Stew (presumably Soros) said it was too expensive to keep it up. This brought the final nail in the coffin of the shlog, however Broot and Doll say they have a backup database of the site and might use it to set up an archive, but that has been in the works for now.
