SNCA:Chili's Smokehouse Combo
| This page is Brappy.
Eat some takis, a taco y a burrito before you read this page o algo |

The Smokehouse Combo is a menu item offered by the American Tex-Mex, casual dining chain Chili’s Grill & Bar. It is part of Chili’s “BBQ Classics” section, giving the diner a selection of smoked-meat entrees combined with sides.[1]
Customization[edit | edit source]
The combo meal allows customers to mix-and-match a selection of proteins, paired with standard sides. Guests may select either two or three of the available proteins, depending on the size of the combo ordered. These options include (as of November 2025):
- Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadillas
- Brisket Quesadillas
- Jalapeño-Cheddar Smoked Sausage
- Half Order of Ribs
- Honey-Chipotle Chicken Crispers®
- Crispy Chicken Crispers®
- Nashville Hot Chicken Crispers®
Standard sides from the combo are French Fries and Mac and Cheese, but optional sides also include street-style corn, Texas toast, and Mexican rice, mash potatoes, and various steamed vegetables.
Relation to the 'Sharty.[edit | edit source]
Combo Thread[edit | edit source]

On November 12, a 'teen (probably a amerimutt) would post a thread with a photo of the Smokehouse Combo, baring the comment:[2]
whats your pick 3 for the Chilis Smokehouse Combo
Normally (You) would expect a thread with no soyjaks or 'Sharty related references would be removed by jannies for violating /soy/ board rule 2: "The inclusion of Soyjaks and/or media relevant to the website". A borderline blogpost about a meal from a restaurant would not fall under that guideline somehow the post prevailed. In the thread. 'teens discussed the merit of the post itself, some jokingly calling it IAS, while others questioned when or if the thread would be taken down. The thread would stay up for hours, even after being bumped and put back in the spotlight for any janny to see and remove, but it lived. Nobody actually answered the question asked by the OP, because 'teens are SLF.

Explanations for Posts Survival[edit | edit source]
Without speaking to any admins active at the time, it is unknown the exact reason (or lack of reason to) remove the post, though some possible reasons have been put forward.
Lack of moderation (there are no jannies to care)[edit | edit source]
The original thread was posted very early in the morning, about 6am UTC, during gookhours, which is when the site sees the least activity, including from jannies. While an promising idea, it is disproved by the fact that a 'teen in the thread claims from their personal experience at the time, that jannies/a janny was active, deleting their NAS thread and receiving a temporary ban. It is also unreasonable to believe that the thread wasn't noticed by a janny at any point, seeing the life spam of the thread.
Janny discretion (the jannies don't care)[edit | edit source]
While janny activity can't be pointed to, a jannies mindset at the time can be used to explain this odd thread. It's possible that during times of low traffic, a janny can be more lackadaisical when it comes to enforcing less serious board rules. A janny low on energy, late at night could prioritize looking for more important and serious core rules, letting something like this slide intentionally (implying jannies aren't selective when it comes to rule enforcement) . This hypothesis becomes shaky when you account for other occurrences, like the aforementioned claim by the banned team in the thread, that jannies at the time were deleting NAS threads with extreme prejudice.
Meta-discussion and thread traction[edit | edit source]
Almost immediately after the thread was posted, 'teens would discuss why is it is allowed to exist in the replies. Potentially, because of the thread getting engagement and the discussion of /soy/'s rules, somehow it made the thread viable for the second half of /soy/ rule 2, "media relevant to the website". While interesting, it is shaky as there is no set precedent that posts that are replied too somehow circumvent the sites rules (not to mention the thread itself didn't get many reppeys compared to other threads).
The thread is Thematically Soy[edit | edit source]
The Tex-Mex, high-calorie “consoomer slop” fits naturally within some of the Sharty's themes (retardGOD link); you could relate a meal like this to an Amerimutt or a Meximutt, but the post does not actively do it. Is it possible to imply IAS? Or, perhaps the thread is an ironic, spine-tingling subversion of common blogposts, with its weirdly worded and blunt inquiry. If you think about it, with this line of logic, you could justify anything being thematically IAS; so lets end this thought experiment, as this could prove a very dangerous philosophy.
Wider Implications for what "Is a Soyjak"[edit | edit source]
Why does any of this matter?
The truth is; after half a decade of the site, and a close to a decade of soyjaks existing; IAS is being pushed further and further every day, with nuvariants that attempt to fill obscure niches, to baiters making "variants" out of inflammatory media to coax reactions from 'teens. With soyjaks as the heart of the entire Soysphere, asking "what is a soyjak", asks what any of this is mean? Every OC, thread, raid; what has it stood for? While there might be certain descriptors of what a soyjak is and what is IAS, does it have any real significant if in practice, pretty much anything can get away with being a "soyjak"?
