An ethnicity is a group of people defined by ancestry and culture. Most ethnicities are shit nobody cares about or aren't distinctive from a larger group, while noteworthy ones have tens of millions of people or are the dominant ethnicity of a sovereign country which isn't an irrelevant shithole. The majority of sovereign countries in the Old World have a dominant ethnicity, with the West having a decline in an ethnically homogeneous population and a rise of celibate and sterile (including transgender) males of the local ethnicity, and a rise of immigration from shitskins. Ethnicity is distinctive from nationality and race on a global scale, however ethnolinguistic groups are recognized to connect ethnicities on a larger scale.

North Koreans refer to the ethnicity as Joseon (조선/朝鮮), named after the Joseon dynasty (1392-1910) and the Gojoseon kingdom (mythically 2333–108 BCE), which was primarily centered in northern Korea, the name coming from a calque of the Chinese name for the region first used in the Guanzi. South Koreans use the name Han (한/韓), derived from the Samhan confederacies and the Han River of the Korean peninsula, centered around southern Korea, the name coming from Old Korean. The Goryeo Kingdom was founded in 918. The Joseon Kingdom was founded in 1392, until its annexation in 1910 by the Empire of Japan. The Japanese withdrew in 1945, and the American-led Republic of Korea and the Soviet-led Democratic People's Republic of Korea were both founded in 1948. |

The name Arab comes from the back-formation of Arabian, which is a demonym of the Semitic word (ʕ r b) meaning "desert", and as a proper noun, the Arabian Desert. In a modern sense, it means the Arabians which came from the Hejaz through the rise of the State of Medina. Historically, it referred to people east of Mount Seir. |

Israel as a nation is first mentioned in the Merneptah Stele c. 1208 BC outside of biblical context, and Judah first attested in the Nimrud Tablet K.3751 c. 733 BC likewise.
