Broot (born 1926) is the founder and former owner & admin of the Schlog and a former admin of the Shroom and SoyBooru. He also retired as an admin on this very wiki. He created soyjak.blog as a place primarily dedicated to blog posting and journals. He owned soyjak.blog from February 29, 2024 until July 2024, where he transfered ownership of the site to Froot.

After soyjak.blog's closure Broot maintained his relevancy by branching out to the Shroom and Soybooru, where he would first become admin on the Shroom; Broot then would later focus on his role on the Booru, leaving his role as admin on the Shroom. On February 27, 2026, The Nuuru was launched and along with it a forum known as The Boorum, a successor to soyjak.blog where he was made an Administrator of. On June 27th 2026, he was demoted from Booru admin due to the Admincaust, and would also resign as administrator of this very 'ki three days later.

By the end of his term, Broot had become somewhat of a controversial figure within the soysphere. He was generally popular on the 'ru itself^{[he just was, OK?]}, and hosted the Trendy Tuesday events. However, he was also known to try and edit the pages about him in order to depict himself in a more positive light (which is a direct violation of wiki rule G9 btw).

History

Discovery of The Sharty & Pre-schlog (2023 & prior)

Before 2020, Broot would moderate a few SNCA forums with normalfag topics and interests, these forums were not disclosed for privacy reasons but they would run on vBulletin and phpBB, the latter was a free software that did not need a license. In 2021 Broot would discover soyjak.party via 4chan, as he was looking for a better more active altchan. From there he would use The Sharty casually, in 2023 he would retire and step down from the forum he previously worked with. Later that year Broot would take notice of blogposting threads and long form discussion on The Sharty, he would begin planning to create a forum specifically for blogposting, journals and detailed discourse as he felt that the active boards on the Sharty were too fast paced for such content.

He would locally set up forums and opted for XenForo as it is the most modern forum software, though it was closed source, it is undisclosed if Broot had an actual license for XenForo as the software requires such, phpBB was free but it was too outdated and had various vulnerabilities to be used.

Soyjak.blog era (2024-2025)

Broot's idea for a soyjak-based forum has been planned since October 2023 and prior to the creation of the Schlog. Broot would often see blog threads posted on /soy/, sometimes also being moved to /plier/. Feeling that there was no place within the Soysphere that's suitable towards blogposting, he decided to launch a forum for it appropriately called Soyjak.blog on February 29th, 2024. Doll would create an account and later become an administrator for the site along with Broot.

Broot would also meet Weebhunter3000, creator and former owner of chuds.life who offered to help with The Blog, forming a partnership with the two sites. Froot would also join and sometimes interact with users there.

As the site grew, more familiar people would join, two of them being Mustard and Quote, who would develop for the site. The Schlog went on to become an official site being used as a forum for SoyBooru and Soyjak Wiki, albeit somewhat controversial as namefagging is prevalent there.

Soyjakify

Soyjakify was a cancelled successor to soyjak.blog, thought up in the schlog's end days. DOLL commissioned anyone on the schlog janny team to create a splinter ASAP as the team did not feel comfortable working with a literal who (that ended up being a cordmonkey), Nagolbud was offered this personally but for some reason he didn't end up creating one. Broot was willing to set up a forum titled 'Soyjakify' at first, it would have looked like an near replica of soyjak.blog but with a different namesake, it would also like its predecessor, use XenForo, but a more upgraded version.

This forum did not come to light as soyjak.forum (what would later be the Shroom) was conceived first. Even with Broot now departing from The Shroom, Soyjakify will likely not need to be a thing as the Boorum now exists as of 2026.

The IT2GB era refined the public opinion on Broot.

Post-Schlog & It's Time To Get Brootal (2025-2026)

The schlog later on got sold by Froot due to SNCA drama, and disinterest in the website. Broot later moved onto being a Moderator for SoyBooru and this wiki. DOLL would promote Broot to this position. At the time SoyBooru's moderation was very disorganized, with the only non-literal who jannies being DOLL, Warrior-Z, Mustard and Broot himself. When DOLL would step down from the 'ru, Soysneed would take over as the head administrator with Broot continuing to be a moderator for a year.

In December 2025, he became Santa Claus and saved Christmas by BTFOing The Grinch.

In January 2026, he began uploading GIFs of his soysona to Tenor, called "brootmojis," in the hopes that normies might start using them. Later that month he began to run for SoyBooru admin, with a slogan being 'It's Time To Get Brootal' (abbreviated as IT2GB). The campaign was very well received, with 67 votes in support of Broot. Unfortunately, the campaign ended on the 19th of February of 2026 as announced by a post he uploaded anonymously. Broot also launched Trendy Tuesday, a weekly art contest held on SoyBooru where 'jakkers draw OC and compete to be featured. He also would release a spin off, Series Sunday.

The IT2GB movement was very successful, with the 4th most upvoted post on the entire SoyBooru being the voting poll for Broot.

Boorum & SoyBooru administrator (2026)

On March 5, 2026, Broot and Catter were made administrators for the Boorum, the forum for SoyBooru. One of the first things he did on there was establish rules for the forum. The Boorum would become Broot's primary forum with him making threads and interacting with the userbase there, he would also hold a Q&A thread. On May 1, 2026, Quote would promote Broot from forum admin to global admin, finally ending his isolation from the site's main administration team. On June 27, 2026, Broot along with Warrior-Z, Cobblestone and Catter were demoted in a moderation restructure, he would however retain his red name. By the following day he chose to resign as moderator.

On June 28, 2026, Broot would resign gracefully as moderator on the 'ru due to personal reasons and the overwhelming amount of drama sweeping the site, confirmed by his moderator badge being removed from his account on the API.

As of August 16, 2026, Broot has only posted on his account once since his demotion, though he can still be found anonymously posting 'tosses of himself, as always.

Demotions

Broot possibly has the soysphere record of having the most demotions and promotions in a short time.

• On February 8, 2026, Broot was demoted on the 'ki by Cobblestone due to being retired (ev&doe he came back shortly before then)
• On February 16, 2026, he also was demoted to janny for revealing the accounts of anonymous comments on the 'ru. He was repromoted to mod on February 18, 2026, and got demoted again the next day. On February 27, 2026 he was officially repromoted along with launch of Nuuru.
• On June 27, 2026, He was demoted alongside Cobblestone Catter and Warrior-Z from his administrator position, making Mustard the sole admin of the site.

The people that got him demoted and or celebrated were later exposed on May 3, 2026 to be within a pedophilic tranny grooming IRC (Not to be confused with the Sharty IRC.)

Public image

In recent times, Broot's public persona has been described as edgy, egocentric, and narcissistic by some users, notable examples of this being that he is very easy to anger with the slightest insults against him. This made him become somewhat adjacent to a namefag.

He has also been praised for his creativity, with events like Trendy Tuesday and interacting with the userbase more often than most staff would.

In general, he's a random admin who thinks too much of himself.

Psychopathy

Broot occasionally displays behavioural traits that would align with a psychopathic personality. Antisocial behavior as seen with him engaging in edit wars on this very wiki, impaired empathy and connection seen with him abandoning soyjak.forum, a forum he was with for a year, adding slopjaks to ex-sharty manager BBQ Sauce's wiki page for no apparent reason, refusal to believe he is ever in the wrong and egocentric traits which is obvious with the strong narcissism he exhibits, seen with IT2GB and Brootmoji.

He has also stated a few times he dislikes personal attachment and people who use the soysphere as a replacement for socializing IRL.

On June 21, 2026 He did a psychopathy test with concerning results.

Brootbaiting

Broot is pretty easy to bait and there are multiple ways to make him leak.

• Call him a literal who.
• Tell him that he will never be famous.
• Say that he thinks too highly of himself.
• Tell him that he samefagged his entire LARP.
• Act like a shroomcuck.
• Insult the Boorum.
• Insult Brootmoji.
• Edit his userpage.

Though nowadays he has gotten less leaky and will likely ignore you.

Bribery accusations

Broot has been accused of bribery three times, It is theorised that he bribed Weebhunter3000 into ditching chuds.life to join soyjak.blog, a second time with getting the schlog to be an official website and the third with him being repromoted on SoyBooru in the same month he got demoted.

DOLL feud

In early 2026, Broot would have a falling out with DOLL who he previously worked with due to his resignation from Soyjak.forum. Tensions between the two would arise over the months.

in recent times the drama between the two would die down, in May of 2026, Broot would confirm that he and DOLL reconciled in a soybooru post, and that his problem is not with DOLL but rather the shroom's userbase.

'ki tenure

His 'ki tenure is probably one of the main reasons for his downfall. Broot was notorious for throwing tantrums at his haters anytime something happens involving him, most famously in the Schlog and Shroom page when he edit warred constantly with a wiki tranitor.

After Broot resigned from being administrator, A user called Carrot (broot's alt) began to chimpout on Cobblestone's talkpage for ignoring his undeletion request on a now deleted page about himself. Then he started blaming random approvers for mocking him, raping his userpage and mostly for doing it for free all day despite him being bureaucrat. He also tried editing some broot-related pages on a more positive light, which is a direct violation of G9.

And then after all of this, Broot finally retired permanently from editing the wiki, his adminship lasted from August 7, 2025 to June 30, 2026.

Brootcord

Brootcord was a discord server that was created at some point in November 2025, originally a server just for Broot to test bots. When Quotecord was shut down most of the members migrated to there.

The 'cord itself was mostly a tame hangout server with light janny discussion. Existence of the 'cord became known when a rogue member, bladee, spammed invites of the server over /soy/. On June 27, 2026 Brootcord was shutdown due to internal disputes.
