So basically the majority of it's history is indigenous population -> columbus -> spain rules it -> sends imprisoned niggers there -> niggers escape into the mountains -> britain takes it from spain -> slave trade -> niggers gain freedom -> political violence. Stop Murder Music controversy[edit | edit source]

In the mid 2000s, there was a controversy related to homophobic reggae being performed by multiple artists, some of them being Jamaica's biggest acts. The songs that Babylon clitty leaked over included lyrics talking about burning, pouring acid on, and shooting faggots^🗝️. They leaked so hard that an organization called Stop Murder Music was created to facilitate THPD (Total Homophobe Death) in the reggae scene.

What people didn't understand understand is that Jamaica developed a deep resentment for di batty bwoys after years of getting buck broken by dem bakras. But alas, people wouldn't listen, and in 2007, they created the Reggae Compassionate Act, which banned Jamaican musicians from singing songs about TFD. Some musicians, like T.O.K, refused to sign it^🗝️.
