Cobblestone confirms the decision through an official post in the Boorum

The Admincaust was a drastic action taken on Soybooru by Mustard on June 27, 2026, where all current admins were couped demoted to moderator, and Mustard was made the sole admin, giving him final say in all decisions. Warrior-Z, Broot, cat, among others, were demoted, with cobblestone and Quote demoting themselves to normal users and Broot requesting a demotion soon after. Cobblestone would later become a moderator again. According to the pinned thread, this was done due to disagreements on rule enforcement. Reactions are currently indifferent, most just responding to it jokingly. In the wake of this, Gold attempted to take power via referendum, but ultimately failed with 68.4% voting "No". This is the third major 'caust enacted under the Quote administration (Although it was only MUDstard's fault this time).

Warrior-Z and his fans gathered, and responded to the decision via a referendum that asked for him to return his position as Global Admin, with an overwhelming support of 80% votes for "Yes", though nothing happened. Some people suspected the this happened due to Warrior-Z banning Aout, a user who made Smuglet pornography, for a week. According to Warrior-Z, he was given permission by Quote himself to do so.

Resignations

Cobblestone (Fake)

Cobblestone was the first to resign (although she says that it's for the time being) as a result of the disagreements and drama within the staff, demoting herself effective immediately as in the announcement.

On July 4th, 2026 she was permanently banned from the 'booru by Mustard for making a poop joke. Of course she would get unbanned a day after and receive a purple name, you are a retard if you thought the ban was serious.

She would also return to being a mod, making her "resignation" fake, before going back to being trusted.

On June 28, 2026, Quote stepped down as admin on the booru (retaining his ownership of the sharty itself), due to his lack of interest in moderating the site, leaving Mustard as the sole administrator of SoyBooru.

Some have speculated this to imply that this may mean that Quote be stepping down as owner from the soysphere entirely but no evidence has surfaced to support this claim except some alleged IRC excerpts, but Quote refutes him discussing this matter with anyone.

However, he has not been seen anywhere after June 28. His last post was him agreeing to someone telling him to log out.
