Spain[b], also known as اسپانیا[c] and officially the Kingdom of Spain, is an European country located at the Iberian peninsula. Geographically, Spain borders France, Andorra and Portugal in continental Europe, as well with Britain with some small disputed rock, and Morocco in Africa. Currently, it's one of the few 11 remaining monarchies in Europe.

History

Hispania

What we know today as the Spanish mediterranean coast was initially inhabited by Iberians, as well as Celtic and Aquitanian populations in the atlantic coast. The first considered civilization to came were the Phoenicians settled in the mediterranean coastal Spain around the 9th century BCE. The Phoenicians and later their succesors, the Carthaginians, got expelled by the expanding Roman Empire around the 3th century BCE, who influenced much of its architecture and culture. Ceasars like Hadrian and Trajan were born in Roman-ruled Spain (at the time called Hispania). The Visigoths (who were already converted to Christianity in the 4th century) would gain control over Hispania after the collapse of the Western Roman Empire. They were very notable for making the Catholic branch the true official religion, but their kingdom wouldn't last long when the Ummayads started to invade the peninsula in 711. The Islamic rule competed with Pope Innocent III's Reconquista, that was immediately announced just after the Visigoths fell. Over the years, the small caliphates in Iberia stagnated and collapsed thanks to said Reconquista that became a Crusade later.

Empire

Spanish colonization went something like this

The Pope's small kingdoms in Spain - those being Castile and Aragon - later united when their monarchs, Elizabeth I and Ferdinand II, respectivelly, married in 1469, thus forming modern Spain. Before the 16th century, Spain faced the Spanish Inquisition[1] to expell the Jews and the remaining Muslims in Granada🗝️, formally ending the Crusade in 1492. In that same year, Christopher Columbus arrived at today's Bahamas, while he was hired by Elizabeth I. Ferdinand II signed the Treaty of Tordesillas with John II of Portugal, dividing the entire world between the two in 1494. Portugal kept Brazil while Spain kept the rest of Latin America, except for the North. Spanish and Portuguese explorers were also present in India, China, Japan, and Southeast Asia.

In the 16th century, Spain was ruled by the Habsburg family. Because the Habsburg were Austrians, King Charles I and Philip II kept pushing Spain into religious clashes against Protestants and Ottomans. During their reign, Spain BTFO'd Netherlands, France and England. Spain also united with Portugal and formed the Iberian Union in August 25th, 1580 to contain their gay little Succession Wars, but separated in December 1st, 1640 because the Portuguese are SLFs. Spain tried to conquer Southern Brazil for 100 years because Portugal's Bandeirantes were grooming Jesuit Missionaries in the South into killing Indians.

During the Napoleonic Wars, Spain allied to the French Republic, but changed sides once Napoleon crowned himself emperor. Spain later divided itself into Pro-Habsburgs and Bonaparists. Napoleon then BTFO'd the Habsburgs in Austria and Spain, crowning his brother Joseph king of Spain. The Loyalists, however, left to the colonies and were met with disappointment from their governors. In 1810, after doing absolutely nothing, the American Vice-Royalties broke into several SNCA countries like Argentina, Gran-Columbia and Mexico. The Spanish colonial empire finally fell when the United States liberated Cuba and bought the Philippines in the late 19th century, but managed to secure their Moroccan protectorate in the Hispano-Moroccan War.

Modern Spain

After being humiliated in a whole century, they tried to live away from the Imperialist scenario, avoiding participating in both World Wars. In 1931, Alfonso XIII was deposed by the Freemasonry and Spain became a Republic. 5 years later, however, Spain faced a Civil War against Nationalists led by Francisco Franco and supported by Hitler's Germany and Mussolini's Italy, while the Republicans were supported by the Soviet Union. Thanks to Joseph Stalin's internal sabotage and infighting between communists, anarchists and liberals, the Republicans lost in 1939 after wasting all of their time killing Christians instead of them bigoted nazi chuds. Francisco Franco had deceived the Monarchists into fighting for him while he promised a Charlist Restoration, but that never happened. When Franco died in 1975, Spain would politically reform itself into a Parliamentary Monarchy, finally doing so in 1978, and since then Spaniards chose their Prime-Minister between the socialist Spanish Workers' (PSOE) and the conservative Populars.

Communities

Autonomous communities are the Spanish equivalent to federal states. They are given the highest autonomy to avoid separatism, since Spain is rooted in fragmented city-states.

Catalonia

>Sí, sóc de Catalunya, com ho sabies?

Catalonia is an independent country autonomous community of Spain that has existed since 1350 AD, full of trannies, retarded separatists, niggers, muzzies and of course, jews. It's one of the world's strongest strongholds of libtardism, no wonder commies love this piece of land, because of Barcelona and its history of retarded (((judeo-bolshevik))) tendencies which include secularism, anarchism and social democracy or however the declaration of independence failed again.
