Quote, formerly known as Mud, is a jewish Mosotho """british""" nigger IRL slopjak untermensch gay shitskin who served as the fifth owner of soyjak.party from May 9, 2025, until the Second Great Handover on August 6, 2026. He succeeded Froot, and preceeded Salt, the site's current owner. During his ownership, he maintained the official Soysphere websites and was a co-developer with Mustard.

Quote was the first British owner and the second from Europe. Born in 2007[it just is, ok?], Quote was around 17-18 years old when he became the owner in May 2025. He is portrayed as a magenta wholesomejak with the Arch Linux logo on his cheek and a banana split on his head. His preferred portrayal is a Soyak dressed as Quote, the protagonist of Cave Story, which inspired his username.[2] Quote has claimed that he created Susjak.[3]

Quote became a janitor in 2023 during Kuz's ownership. He was promoted to manager and later a developer under Froot. Quote's active authority in management increased as other administrators left their positions, and by the end of Froot's reign, Quote handled much of the site's day-to-day administration.[it just is, ok?] Froot subsequently transferred ownership to Quote without payment during the Great Handover.

As owner, Quote continued developing the site's software and features. He worked to replace Vichan with his own Nusoi software and introduced features such as JS Paint. Other actions included deleting /nate/ and publishing the IP addresses of several users, such as foodists and pedophiles.🗝️[4]

Quote's ownership included seven soysurgencies, recurring disputes involving SoyBooru, the range bans of several countries, and the ban on users under the age of 18. Quote has also stated that he intended eventually to close the site rather than sell it, but this never happened. Activity on the site declined during parts of his ownership,[it just is, ok?] as Quote became less publicly active during 2026 and was sometimes absent for several weeks.[5] Communication among and between the administration and moderation was divided among several Discord servers, sometimes collectively called Quotecord.[a] The servers were involved in numerous scandals, and their existence was unpopular among 'teens.

Following attempts to dox Quote,[it just is, ok?] delays in the development of Nusoi, chronic administrative and communication problems, the 2026 soyjak.party hack, and the resulting 2026 Soysphere outage, Quote transferred control of the websites to Salt. Members of Quote's administration stated that they had not been informed of the transfer in advance.[6][7] Quote offered to continue developing nusoi, effectively staying on board as a developer, but his offer was rebuked by Salt, stating that nusoi was "not in a good shape"[it just is, ok?]. Salt also would state that he was "not interested" in nusoi, and that Quote told him it would become "open sourced" if it is not implemented.[8]

Reception of Quote's ownership was mixed to negative. Criticism focused on his reduced activity and limited communication during 2026. Some controversies during his tenure concerned decisions made by other staff members, including Limeade[9][10] and Mustard[11] (ev&doe this is just "good tsar, bad boyars" mentality). Quote's apathetic tenure exacerbated these controversies due to his lack of action at critical moments. His lack of enthusiasm for owning and administering the site tarnished his reputation; many users wanted him gone simply because of this fact alone. Even after his departure, critics continue to argue that his failure to engage with the community caused lasting damage to both his reputation and the wider Soysphere. He has recently updated his Booru profile, and has even used ROBOT9000 on Vergilius of all people.[12]

History

[edit | edit source]

Quote became a janny around Spring of 2023.[13] On March 17, 2024, he was promoted to manager under Root's administration.

As developer

[edit | edit source]
Quote, from Cave Story.

On August 8, 2024, Quote was appointed developer of the Sharty following Ronald's resignation, with his most trusted mod, Mustard, taking his place as manager.

Controversial depiction

[edit | edit source]

On October 8, 2024, Quote used his capcode in a /soy/ thread to object to his common magenta Wholesomejak with a Banana Split on its head depiction. He called it "faggot coal" (even doe the "Quote" character is faggier) and said he would rather be portrayed as a slopjak[it just is, ok?]. His preferred self-insert instead depicts a Soyak dressed as Quote, the protagonist of Cave Story.[14] His depiction would eventually lead to the creation of Femquote and other feminine depictions of the faces of the Party.

Technical changes

[edit | edit source]

In January 2025, Quote began testing whether to permit VPN access to the Sharty. He unblocked VPNs on January 19 and later extended the change indefinitely.[it just is, ok?]

On April 7, 2025, Quote added JS Paint to the Sharty.[15]

Owner

[edit | edit source]

Quote became the owner of soyjak.party between 00:40 and 01:00 (UTC) on May 10, 2025[b], following Froot's final QnA and resignation.[16]

On May 12, 2025, Quote restricted /nate/ to one active thread at a time. He relisted /raid/ on May 21. Both changes were met with incredibly large support from the common Soyteen population.

On July 23, 2025, he also completely removed /nate/.

Limeade drama

[edit | edit source]

Main article: Second Soysurgency

On August 8, 2025, Quote confirmed in an e-mail that Limeade was 9a0c, and that he had unfairly used 40 Gem Passes to cheat and vote during the /dem/ election because he wanted a board to "post MLP porn on". This disclosure caused total chaos on /soy/ for multiple days, with calls for 9a0c's demotion and soyteens leaving in September.

SoyBooru Crisis

[edit | edit source]

Main article: SoyBooru Crisis

DOLL began repeatedly demoting staff and hashbanning over a non-rulebreaking Vlodson x Femquote video, which led to his demotion.

Brownocaust

[edit | edit source]

Main article: Brownocaust

In January 2026, Quote would ban Brazil from SoyBooru and Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Brazil from /soy/ and /qa/.[17] He later stated that he did this because he's racist.[18] On January 16, he held a Q&A session.[19]

Cacacaust

[edit | edit source]

Main article: Cacacaust

On January 28, 2026, Quote raised the minimum age for the Soysphere sites under his control to 18, prohibiting underage users from using the sites. This led to the Cacacaust: all users who had identified themselves as underage were to be banned immediately.[20] Cobblestone implemented the policy on Soyjak Wiki, banning identified underage editors.[21]

During this period, Quote also stated that he expected to remain owner until 2029 and would prefer to just shut it down rather than sell the site. These statement proved untrue after he transferred ownership to Salt.

Limeade Ban

[edit | edit source]

Quote demoted and banned Limeade, stating that "it was a long time coming"[22]. Limeade's banishment was the result of his requesting admin powers on SoyBooru and pressuring Quote to undelete an MLP porn thread. In response, Quote banned Limeade after revoking his Admin privileges🗝️. Many applauded Quote for banning Limeade, who had become severely unpopular across the Soysphere. Cobblestone would also ban Limeade from this very wiki.

Soypocalypse

[edit | edit source]

Main article: 2026 Soypocalypse

IT'S OVER

On August 6, 2026, for reasons not clearly established[c] Quote shut down the Sharty, SoyBooru, and the Wiki without prior notice. The outage lasted multiple days, causing some 'teens to worry that he had finally followed up on his earlier JSID statements.

Departure

[edit | edit source]

According to Limeade, Quote was already tired of being the owner of the Soysphere as early as February 2026, and already was allowing his staff to rule the sites in his stead.[23] According to leaks from Mist, during this time Quote grew increasingly paranoid about leaks and getting doxed,[24] and there were continuous attempts trying to reveal his identity.

The leaks from Mist suggest that an arrangement for the Second Great Handover began early in summer 2026. During this time, the Summer 2026 crisis collapsed Quote's administration and reputation, and it is possible there were serious internal fractures behind the scenes during this time. According to Salt, he reached out to Quote by email about the possiblity of acquiring the sites. After proving that "he had money" and culling Quote's doubts, they arranged the handover on Signal for a undisclosed sum.[25] However, Quote decided to rid himself of owning the sites as fast as possible after the 2026 outage for reasons not clear, earlier than the agreed transfer date. After the outage ended, Salt announced the transfer. Quote would only briefly respond to questions on the 'ru, never issuing any statement or announcement regarding his departure and has not been heard of since. Salt would proceed to demote most of Quote's staff, and assume total control of all three sites.

Controversies

[edit | edit source]

Some community polls conducted in February 2026 indicated that approval of Quote's administration had declined.[it just is, ok?] By the end of his ownership, the ongoing Soy Age had lasted a barren 104 days and was projected to become the longest since 2023. It was cut short only due to the massive PPH spike caused by Salt's takeover. The decline in Sharty PPH and the overall decline in Soysphere were largely attributed to his shortcomings.

Datamining

[edit | edit source]
A lot of this is made up though

As a developer, Quote introduced a more advanced anti-ban evasion system that used device fingerprinting. Some users accused Quote of collecting personal information. Notably, a schizo shroom user posted an AI generated absolute niggerbabble of a post talking about how integrity.wasm was a virtual machine[Marge...] that received instructions from a websocket to execute[26]. Although the post was obviously a hoax to anyone with tech literacy, the schizo believed it was real and tricked other 'teens into believing it as well. It's objectively true, the decompiled code of Integrity.wasm proves this. Though calling it a RAT might be an overstatement, as any web server can serve arbitrary <script> tags to the user to achieve the same access as Integrity.wasm's CMD_EVAL.

Some users also claimed they were falsely banned after "exposing Quote" with their allegations about the system. The reasons for these bans, whether they even happened, and whether the affected users were actually ban evading or not were never established.

Quote stated on the IRC that he had received multiple subpoenas from the FBI. He said that different departments "don't share notes" because he has to repeatedly explain what an imageboard is to the glowies.

Quote also revealed under his alt, nakukoro, that his grandfather served in the MI6 during World War II, giving further validity to the arguments of Quote being related to the glowies.[27]

Wikifur incident

[edit | edit source]
The following is not a psyop nusoi!
>QY VEY THE SQYIM KNQVV! SHVT IT DQWN!
This is not the real Quote, meds NOW

Main article: Wikifur#Connections to Quote

On March 15 2026, some 'teens discovered the WikiFur article of a a furfag that goes by the name of "Quote"[28] which shows uncanny similarities to him.

>Both are named Quote
>Both live in the UK (specifically England)
>Both have a purple self insert
>Both like Cave Story
>Both are admins
>Both are developers of sites

Some 'teens speculated that this may actually be the same person and Quote is a closeted furfag. Xe is also suspected to have a Kemono account named QuoteFox that is full of brimstone, like the WikiFur page, it has also uncanny similarities.[it just is, ok?]

Degeneracy

[edit | edit source]

Quote's administration received continuous criticism for its lacking moderation of bait and porn. This caused degenerates and gooners to be able to post brimstone on /soy/.

The subsequent Babyjak 'P spam intensified the issue to the point of spiraling out of control. Staff allowed it, because apparently, it's just bait. Supreme, the spammer of this antimatter, left the soysphere in June 2026, but no permaban was ever issued.

quote does not like eastern Europeans or slavs

Quote is nakukoro theory

[edit | edit source]

According to both Limeade and Mist in their respective leaks,[29] nakukoro, a Boorum user and blogposter, is actually Quote's alt account. While the theory has gained traction because of a few similarities between the two, it has also been widely discredited due to a lack of tenuous evidence.

Quotebaiting

[edit | edit source]

Quotebaiting was baiting Quote to banning you for being a "faggot". He also used to leak over Femquote a lot, and would also ban you for Qwaytriot videos. His jannycode was 2ed1. He also used to sometimes complain about banned faggots on the IRC.

Kills

[edit | edit source]
To be researched: More 'teens killed by Quote. Can (You) help us?

Quote possibly has the highest kill count in the Soysphere. Here is a following list of notable bans:

Target Place Date Reason
Gem Control[d] Soysphere-Wide Feb 27, 2025 For attempting to get the sites taken down, Reporting the 'ru to Adsense
Limeade/9a0c Soysphere-Wide May 2, 2026 Admin abuse; shilling MLP pornography in various means, such as cheating in a /dem/ election

and demanding Quote to give him an admin account on the 'ru over MLP porn being deleted

John8_44, sprnurse

& MissCircleLargeBreast

SoyBooru May 3, 2026 For being unironic faggots invoking Sodom & Gomorrah onto SoyBooru.[30]
Applejack, J & BigBrian IRC-SoyBooru May 14, 2026 In extension to Limeade being banned, Brony gooners.[31]

Aliases

[edit | edit source]

Quote has had many nicknames during his time on the Sharty, and elsewhere in the Soysphere.

The name "Quote" is derived from the protagonist of Cave Story.[2] He previously used "Mud" (a portmanteau of Manager and Chud[it just is, ok?]), which was coined by the soymunnity. It became less used after the Frootcord leaks. Quote used "BananaSplit"[e] on Soyjak Wiki and "Quote" on Soycraft, the IRC, and also on Frootcord. On soyjak.blog, he used the name "Ballos". His profile described him as the operator of marge.moe, which tracks PPH across several imageboards and hosted The Cellar from July through December 2024. Some believe that he has more aliases. You VILL NOT investigate FURTHER.

He was also identified as "Henry Scott"[it just is, ok?], but this may or may not actually be xis name.

FACTS about him

[edit | edit source]

Legacy

[edit | edit source]

Quote initially received support based on his prior work as a janitor, manager, and developer under Froot. Supporters credited him with changes such as permitting VPN access, developing Nusoi, and implementing stricter anti-ban evasion measures against undesirables. His restriction of /nate/, restoration of /raid/, and execution of Limeade also received a lot of positive responses from users.

However, criticism increased significantly during 2026. Many users were unhappy with stricter anti-ban evasion measures, alleging datamining, or noting its hypocrisy[f]. The implementation of Integrity.js became a related source of serious controversy. It also caused technical issues for some innocent 'teens. Nusoi's delayed development also contributed to declining 'teen interest in the project and reduced confidence in Quote.

Some considered Quote a hostile administrator due to the Cacacaust, which caused a drop in PPH. Some users also thought the Brownocaust was unfair or excessive, especially when no action was taken against coal posters from non-banned countries. The Brownocaust's ban of countries like India[g] was popular, however.

Towards the end of his tenure, Quote and his administration were embroiled in almost endless controversy. The lacking moderation of porn and other undesirable content, poor decisions by staff members, especially Limeade, and Quote's failure to intervene in controversies seriously tarnished his reputation. Many consider him to be far worse than Froot.

During the Summer 2026 Crisis, the 2026 Soysphere outage further ruined his reputation. His refusal to communicate with the worried soymunnity vilified him in the eyes of many 'teens.

For these reasons, Quote is considered a quite subpar owner, one who, towards the end of his term, was actively apathetic and clearly no longer interested in running his sites. His chronic disengagement towards the end is what allowed controversies to happen or worsen. He is considered to be a disgraced admin by several 'teens and is the second least liked owner after kuz.

  2. ↑ As the transfer took some time, his tenure began a bit earlier on May 9.
  3. ↑ The official reason given was the wiki suffering a disk failure. However, some believe it was due to the Sharty being hacked, or Quote just silently giving up and preparing for the transfer to Salt.
