This page is a gem.

Chile is a latinx country from the southern Cone of South America. It is the longest and narrowest country in the world, contains the second-largest mountain range on Earth (the Andes), and remains the only South American nation that isn't buck broken poor or underdeveloped as fuck. They elected the son of a nazi soldier as president for the 2026-2030 term.🗝️

It's also best known for being the South American country with the most earthquakes, owing to its territory lying along the convergent boundary between the Nazca Plate and the South American Plate. Notable events include the 1960 Valdivia earthquake (Mw 9.5, the largest ever instrumentally recorded) and the 2010 Maule earthquake (Mw 8.8).

History[edit | edit source]

Chile started as a vice royalty (a colony) like most countries of South America in the year 1541, Chile functioned as a military and trading outpost that depended politically on the vice royalty of Perú and its main function was conquering the territories of various indigenous tribes like the selk'nam (pacifist fishing trive) and the peheunche, tehuelches and mapuches (tehuelches and pehuenches were mapuche but different tribes) which were a huge headache to the spaniards since they are known to be conquerors that raped and murdered a lot of small indigenous tribes before Spaniards even arrived to the continent and also they dragged a useless nigger war for 300 years (even doe it de-escalated with time)

The first expedition to Chile was made by a guy named Diego De Almagro and was a failure since no gold that the Incas told them there would be was found and lots of men died from the heat. The second one was done by a schizo named Pedro De Valdivia who made it to what is now Santiago. He founded Santiago De La Nueva Extremadura. (now Santiago De Chile) Almost right after, Santiago was pillaged by Mapuches. Some foid named Inés De Suárez killed and threw decapitated Mapuche heads to them which scared them and made them leave. Diego De Almagro was later beheaded in an expedition to the south.

Hundred years war or guerra de arauco[edit | edit source]

One of the longest conflicts in the entire American continent was "la guerra de arauco" which lasted 347 years across 2-3 major campaigns and small battles, the reason of why this conflict lasted that long was because of lots of factors being:

- uncharted territory and difficult terrain.

- 3 previous tribes not being retarded and knowing guerrilla warfare like tactics.

- Chile not being a proper country yet so it didn't have a formal army.

it eventually ended when Chile independized and got a more organized and got a formal army which a gigachad named Cornelio Saavedra Rodríguez ultimately raped (both literal and as a metaphor) most indigenous tribes of the unconquered territories (in the middle of the war of the pacific btw), to this date quite a lot of descendants of said raped tribes still seethes about him and how he owned them brutally.

Colonial Chile[edit | edit source]

After the Spaniards established their control over Chile, it was incorporated to the Viceroyalty of Perú as the Captaincy General of Chile. Mestizaje happened in this time and the Chilean culture was formed. Not much really happened in this period apart from the farming of cebo, which was cow grease used for candles and shiet.

There was an attempt to bring certain type of people as slaves to facilitate the dirty work but ultimately failed thanks to the magallanes strait which made it difficult to navigate without losing the entire ship to rogue waves and plethora of maritime dangers, Chile is one of few South American countries without native niggers until recently which are still a miniscule minority (THANK YOU GOD).

Independence[edit | edit source]

In 1810, some dudes formed a government junta in the name of Fernando VII of Spain who was kidnapped by Napoleon. Then, a guy named José Miguel Carrera couped the government and replaced the moderate cabinet with a more radical one. A lot of shitflinging between the Spaniards and the disorganized Chilean army happened, Then, the selfish little fuck known as Bernardo O'Higgins betrayed José because xe wanted power over Chile, Then both had an agreement to stop fighting and fight the Spaniards together, but O'Higgins' couldn't behave and rebelled against José which basically caused the Reconquista (reconquest of Chile by the Spaniards) and forced O'Higgins and his army to go to Mendoza and José to go more north of Mendoza. A gigachad named Manuel Rodríguez decided to stay behind so he could annoy spaniard with guerilla warfare and sent intel to Mendoza. He was so good at disguises that no-one knows his real face.

Relationship with Argentina[edit | edit source]

'Toss about the treaty. Even doe none of the two actually controlled the Patagonia when the treaty was signed.

Ever since Chile and Argentina declared their independence in 1818 and 1816 respectively, they disputed the southernmost part of their territory, known as Patagonia. Some Chileans wanted a natural border at the Andes mountains, while others sought to claim all of Patagonia. The 1881 Boundary Treaty assigned most of Patagonia to Argentina and gave Chile jack raisin, producing Chile's characteristic long, narrow shape. Since then, both countries hate each other.

Another fact that made Argentina specially angry about the treaty was that they lost access and administration to the Magallanes strait which was the only place where Old world shipment could cross to the pacific, to this date is still used to cross the pacific while also being lucrative as fuck and even more now thanks to shipments of green hydrogen which Chile currently exports to europe.

The incident that transformed this minor rivalry into outright hostility was Chile's covert offer to allow britbongs to use Punta Arenas air base for intelligence and reconnaissance operations to defend the Falklands against Argentine forces. Since then, many Argentinians have labeled Chileans as "traitors," despite the two countries never having enjoyed a genuinely friendly relationship.

While die-hard nationalists in both countries wish destruction on the other, citizens of Chile and Argentina remain intertwined through everyday cross-border exchanges. Argentinians frequently travel to Chile to purchase cheaper electronics and other consumer goods. Chileans travel to Argentina to access free university education. Both are equally raped by Venezuelans.

Culture[edit | edit source]

The culture of Chile consists of, and is not limited to:

  • Rodeo which is basically the identity of every country which was formally spain's territory. Though Chile has a unique form.
  • Cueca, Chile's traditional dance that's presumed to be based on the rooster's mating dance
  • Speaking incomprehensibly thanks to the unique dialect which makes you speak fast. Andalucian Spanish got mixed with Mapuche and created the most incomprehensible dialect of Spanish. (this can be infected if you live long enough in the country geg)
  • Huasos, they're basically Chilean cowboys.
  • Fondas, a gatherings held in the month of september, similar festivity as USA fairs or japanese seasonal festivals.
  • La Tirana,a religious festival in the north. it came from the aymara, a indigenous tribe that lives near the borders of Perú and bolivia.
