Cricket Soyjaks also abbreviated as Crickjaks is subvariant turned trend that consists of depicting Soyjaks as low-resolution crickets.

The creation of cricks consists of editing soyjaks into having green skin, antennae, red eyes or glasses, a black jumpsuit with white stripes and a low resolution with pixelated compression artifacting similar to babyjak. The first crickjak created was of Kuzjak, originating from the Shemmy. An AMA with the creator reveals the variant was created on February 14 of 2024 with the idea coming from the jakker wanting to test compression.[2] The variant would take off on the shemmy for the next few months and spread to the rest of the soysphere. The Kuzjak used to create the crick is actually supposed to be an alien, however the new name stuck after users noted the similarities to a cricket.[3]
