Darren is a soyjak nuvariant depicting a soyboy typing on a keyboard with a fisheye lens perspective, similar to Fisheyejak. It was traced from this image, and in the original thread it comes from (which is now kino lost media), it had irises and an uncolored mouth. It was later gemmed up. It bears a similar resemblance to an older, more niche variant called Keyjak, which was traced from the same person. It was uploaded to SoyBooru on September 4, 2026.

Unlike its ancestor Keyjak, which was deemed as coal upon release, Darren has recieved widespread approval among soyteens.

Darren has a rather odd facial structure. He is in the artstyle of most 'jaks, but as aforementioned, it was traced over a fisheye lens image. This results in odd features such as bulging eyes, a large, wide nose, a weaker chin, and a small frame.
