Syndromejak (also known as 'drome, 'dromejak) is a soyjak nuvariant based on Syndrome from animated movie The Incredibles. He is remarkable for his mischievous expression and often used to portray edgy pretentious midwits like weebs or redditcucks. This and his origin of being traced from an animated movie character makes him somewhat similar to Smugjak, especially since they both hail from an animated superhero movie (which may make The Incredibles somewhat shardee kulchur, despite it producing less... wholesome... content).
According to Mustard, Syndromejak was created by the same person as Smugjak.
Since January 14th, 2026, Syndromejak is one of the many rollable names on soyjak.party.

He was created in the /soy/ thread and posted on booru that same day.[It would seem that the nusois never archived the original thread. Many such cases!] Since then, many edits have been made using him. In his Q&A Doll said that this variant looks self-inserty to him.[1] It is considered the first major nuvariant of the Quote era.
Popularity[edit | edit source]
For some unknown reason, this variant has leaked outside the soysphere and has begun to catch on among normie circles and xitter users. This has divided /soy/ regarding the status of syndromejak as coal or a gem, with some 'teens claiming that normgroids adopting it is a win and others claiming that it's coal because it's the same thing that happened to 2 pointing soyjaks. The truth about the matter is that normalGOD memes come and go and chances are that they'l just move on from using syndromejak within a month.
