Syndromejak (also known as 'drome, 'dromejak) is a nuvariant based on the character Syndrome from the animated movie The Incredibles. He is remarkable for his confident expression and raised hand. Syndromejak is often used to portray edgy, pretentious midwits like weebs or redditcucks. This, and his origin of being traced from an animated movie character, makes him somewhat similar to Smugjak, especially since they both hail from an animated superhero movie (which may make The Incredibles somewhat shardee kulchur, despite it producing less... wholesome... content).

According to Mustard, Syndromejak was created by the same person as Smugjak.^{[he just said that, ok?]}

Syndromejak was a rollable name on soyjak.party.

History

He was created in the /soy/ thread and posted on the 'booru that same day.^{[It would seem that the nusois never archived the original thread. Many such cases!]} Since then, many edits have been made using him. In his Q&A, Doll said that this variant looks self-inserty to him.^[1] It was the only major nuvariant of the Quote era.

Popularity

For some unknown reason, this variant has leaked outside the soysphere and has begun to catch on among normie circles and xitter users. This has divided /soy/ regarding the status of syndromejak as coal or a gem, with some 'teens claiming that normgroids adopting it is a win and others claiming that it's coal because it's the same thing that happened to 2 pointing soyjaks. The truth about the matter is that normalGOD memes come and go, and chances are that they'll just move on from using syndromejak within a month.

When 'teens were first graced by Syndromejak's presence, it was seen as a variant with a lot of gemmy potential given how useful it could be. A bit of posts were made with it on the sharty and 'ru, however Twitter users discovered it and started using it everywhere to depict Redditors with, and it thereby became known by most 'teens as a coaly variant. There have been some attempts to make Syndromejak part of sharty culture and some people do post it from time to time, but it has been relegated to the category of xittter normie dust in the eyes of most soyteens.

Despite this, there has been an effort to make the variant a gem again, through some posters occasionally using it. However, the only use it ever has among 'teens is to depict gooners and Redditors.
