Calarts
Calarts is a type of Soyjak drawn in a calarts[a] artstyle.
History[edit | edit source]
The Calarts artstyle has been a long topic of controversy in drawing and animation communities since people noticed that this style had infested many children's cartoons, making them look very similar to one another.[2] It's called this because many of the animators who use it graduated from the California Institute of the Arts. The most notable trait of this artstyle is the bean shaped mouth that appears on all character designs. Due to its association with modern childrens' cartoons, which are loved by soyboys and troons, it didn't take long for it to be parodied as a soyjak. This 'jak is based on the Classic Soyjak, and its expression shows extreme yet fake-looking excitement (similar to the classic soyjak, but more exaggerated). It is associated with the phrase "SO TRUE!" due to being heavily used in an exploitable format showing a 'jak irritated at one thing, yet excited at a similar thing, uttering the aforementioned phrase in praise of the latter.
The CalArts soyak is among the soyjaks and woahjacks traditionally popular among normies. It has been used countless times on Preddit, Xitter, and the 'cuck, for years.
