Sidejaks are a trend on SoyBooru consisting of popular soyjak variants redrawn from the side. Rather than being a variant of their own, Sidejaks are typically profile-view versions of existing 'jaks, retaining their recognizable features, expressions, and accessories. They are generally regarded as gems and are commonly uploaded as transparent templates for use in later edits. A version made on December 26, 2025, by Virilis popularized the trend.

It's Based and Christpilled

Alternate angle soyjaks have always existed, but Sidejaks later became closely associated with a particular meme format. The format originated from an advertisement for Christian shirts depicting two NAS Nordic chads turned to the side beneath the caption "It's Based and Christpilled". SoyBooru users soon discovered the image and began making meme parodies of it, eventually developing the format into a recurring series. Later variations replaced the original caption with phrases “It’s too ——pilled” and other alterations.
