Gapealien is a gapejak subvariant with an alien-like appearance.

Gapealien is based on an AI-generated image uploaded to the ’booru by Warrior-Z[1]. Afterwards, 'teens redrew the variant in a higher resolution and fixed some of the flaws caused by the image generation, officially creating a template.[2] Finally, a third version was created without antennae so it could be used more broadly to create new versions that didn't require them.[3] Since then, it became one of the more popular nuvariants with various new drawings uploaded to the booru, though it has been considered divisive due to some teens thinking it is forced or that its AI origin makes it soulless.
Ultimately, this variant failed to catch on. Reasons for this could include it attempting (and failing) to compete with Impish Sojyak Ears' niche.
