Based and Christpilled is a soyjak trend that originates from a gemmy NAS Nordic Chad meme that revolves around falseflagging Christianity by posting the aforementioned image under the worst events possible, similarly to the Tvrkaryan gem meme.

This meme likely originates from xitter, being popular among gimmick accounts and braniggers. The ironic use of the meme first gained popularity on twitter circles 5 months before Sharty/pol/ by the Montanan, where the original Yes Chad images were used. Over time, the meme began to bleed over to SoyBooru where multiple derivatives that use different variants were born.
A trend of falseflagging 'zellig fans with these on Sharty /qa/ also evolved in December 2025.[1]
