This page is a gem.Cockroach Humanoid is a common Soyjak trend on the soybooru meant to depict specific hated namefags as hanging bugmen with cockroach bodies.

The format first started being used against Antiswarthy back in the era were hate for him as at its peak, before it eventually started spreading to be used against other namefags. The format originally only contained the roach legs with a chubby human body, until a new updated template was created with a full roach torso that replaced it. This trend is known for being posted on SoyBooru comment sections alongside the "In Loving Memory of" copypasta, where a funeral message is directed towards the namefag depicted as the dead roachman.

The cockroach soyjak template serves as an allegory to Franz Kafka's famous novel "The Metamorphosis", where the protagonist gets supernaturally transformed into a giant roach. His new form makes him get rejected by his own family, who celebrate his eventual death. Beyond the obvious comparison of the giant dead bugs who represent humans, the connection between the story and this meme is further if you consider the main character as a representation of the depicted namefag while the family is a stand-in for the SoyBooru community. This connection is exemplified by the message on the associated copypasta, which is seemingly mournful but ultimately insincere, similar to how an actual family would react to the death of a disgraced member: Apparently filled with grief as to comply with society's expected ethical norms while hiding the genuine feeling of contempt for the deceased individual. In effect, both Kafka's work and this soyjak trend symbolize the theme of being ostracized by one's social circle with the dehumanization that comes from it.
