Kantooo is an old 4chan/vp/ meme referencing a soyboy thumbnail by Nintendo Youtuber JammerProHD.
On May 29th, 2018, JammerPro uploaded a reaction video to the newly announced games, Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee.[1] This video was best known for its thumbnail, which featured the typical soy gape of reaction videos, but with exaggerated photoshopping to make the face even more ridiculous and unpleasant, with bugmen eyes and an enlarged mouth, with the end result looking more like an ironic meme made by 4cuck users than a proper thumbnail to be used. Inhabitants of 4chan and specially the Pokemon themed /vp/ board naturally started making edits of this thumbnail relating it to the soyboy meme, with this image also being frequently shared on /qa/ and the early sharty. The youtuber later deleted the video since people made fun of him for it and this meme caused /vp/ users to adopt the term "KANTOOOOO" (almost always in all caps) to mock those who enjoy Generation 1 Pokémon and subsequent retreadings of it, as well as references to the gen 1 games in official Pokemon media in general.[2]
