Kekjak is a variant of the Classic Soyjak where he is seen with his mouth open an unnaturally large amount.

Kekjak's unnatural facial expression is meant to depict an extremely strong emotional reaction, interpreted to be laughter or excitement, almost as if he was screaming KEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK very loudly, hence the name. His abnormally large mouth and popping eyeballs are an early example of the use of distortion of facial features to create a mocking caricature and generate a humorous reaction. His appearance was also likely inspired by the Wewjak.
