Virgin VS chad is a meme consisting of a comparison between, as the name suggests, a virgin and a chad (also known as chad thundercock). It is most notably used for demoralization against anything/something the poster doesn't like.
It orginated after a MS Paint drawing of a depiction of the walk posted in March 2017, other illustrations of "virgin" appeared on the /r9k/ board on 4cuck. Chad didn't appear until June 6th, 2017, a post urging viewers to "post all vi/r/gin memes" was submitted to R9k, in which various MS Paint illustrations were submitted depicting various behaviors associated with virgins juxtaposed with their "Chad" and "Wizard" counterparts, along the "virgin walk" image.
Relationship with soyjaks[edit | edit source]
The Virgin archetype is essentially a politicized version of The soyboy stereotype. The Virgin started as a general meme about low social and sexual status; soyboy reused the same traits (awkwardness, perceived weakness) but added an ideological angle, usually mocking progressive or “woke” men. Also noteworthy, is the temporal coincidence of the peak popularity of the meme with the creation of the first soyjak, one of the proto-soyjaks was taken from one of the virgin vs chad 'tosses[1].
Due to these aspects, the virgin is essentially a low-T beta nu-male, which kind of resembles soy behaviour. This made even more sense since the Yes Chad vs Soyjak meme format became popular, which was also closely associated with the meme.
The legacy of Chad Thundercock[edit | edit source]
Chad Thundercock, always represented as the good one on the meme, is considered as the predecessor of many other meme comparasion formats starring 2 characters, one in a positive superior form and other in a negative inferior form, The first known one is the already mentioned Yes Chad vs Soyjak, overrused normieslop rapidly taken to represent opinions as "Nice try but I potrayed myself as the Chad and you as the Crying Soyboy". Also the Buff Doge vs Cheems and most importantly the Avarege Fan vs Enjoyer which originated the well-known by excelence NAS gemerald that gave us Gigachad.
