Quote (born 2007[who still has the thread when xe announced xe turned 18]), formerly known as Mud, has served as the 5th and current owner of soyjak.party since May 9, 2025, succeeding Froot. He currently owns and maintains all of the official Soysphere websites and is a co-developer for soyjak.party alongside Mustard.

Quote is the first British owner and the second from Europe, and is believed to be the youngest ever owner. He is typically portrayed as a magenta-colored wholesomejak, though his favorite depiction of himself is a Soyak dressed as the Cave Story character Quote, which is his namesake.[2] He claims to have created Susjak.[3]

Quote first became a janitor in 2023 during Kuz's ownership and was promoted to manager and later a developer during Froot's ownership. He gradually took on a more active role in the management of the Sharty as admins came and went, and towards the end of Froot's reign, he practically ran the Sharty. When Froot resigned from his ownership to raise xis kid in Malta or something, he would transfer ownership to Quote for free without a sale. Most of his actions as owner have revolved around developing, most notably his efforts to replace the sharty's Vichan software with his own Nusoi software, as well as adding more website features such as JS Paint. More of his actions include deleting /nate/ and leaking people's IPs (including the IPs of foodists and pedophiles🗝️).[4]

Quote became a janny around Spring of 2023.[5] He was later promoted to manager under Root's administration.

On August 8, 2024, Quote was appointed as the developer of the Sharty upon Ronald's resignation, with his most trusted mod, Mustard, taking his place as the Manager.

Controversial depiction[edit | edit source]

On the 8th of October, 2024 Quote would capcode in a thread on /soy/ about how he did not like how the sharty depicted him as the pink Wholesomejak with a Banana Split on its head and an Arch Linux logo on its cheek, he ended up calling it "faggot coal" and said that he'd rather be portrayed as a slopjak than what he ended up being portrayed as, what makes this more troubling is that perhaps due to the faggy nature of this depiction it led to the rise of Femquote and other feminine depictions of janitors of the Sharty.

Technical changes[edit | edit source]

Around early 2025 Quote would start experimenting with allowing VPNs on the website, unblocking them on the 19th of January and eventually concluding the experiment with unblocking all VPNs indefinetly.

On the 7th of April 2025 Quote added JS Paint into the sharty.

Owner[edit | edit source]

At 8:40 PM EST - 9:00 PM EST Quote became the owner of soyjak.party on May 9, 2025, following Froot's final QnA and resignation.[7]

As one of his first actions as owner on May 12, 2025 Quote ACKed /nate/ by restricting it to only 1 thread at a time, on May 21, 2025 he also relisted /raid/. Both changes were met with incredibly large support by the common Soyteen population.

On July 23, 2025 he also completely removed /nate/ from existence.

Limeade drama[edit | edit source]

On August 8, 2025 Quote confirmed in an e-mail that Limeade was 9a0c, and that he cheated in the /dem/ election by voting with 40 different gem passes because he wanted a board to "post MLP porn on." This threw /soy/ into total chaos for multiple days, with calls for 9a's demotion, soyteens leaving in September and a general aura of chaos.

SoyBooru Crisis[edit | edit source]

DOLL began repeatedly demoting staff and hashbanning over a non-rulebreaking Vlodson x Femquote video, which led to his demotion.

Brownocaust[edit | edit source]

In January 2026, Quote would ban Brazil from SoyBooru and Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Brazil from /soy/ and /qa/.[8] He later stated that he did this because he's racist.[9] On January 16, he held a Q&A session.[10]

On January 28, 2026, he raised the age limit of the Sharty and its xister sites to 18, effectively banning all Soyteens. Quote has also controversially stated that he believes he'll be owner until 2029, and that he'd rather just shut it down than sell the site when he hypothetically no longer wishes to be owner, ruining the power fantasies of soyteens everywhere.[11][12]

Controversies[edit | edit source]

As of February 2026, recent polls have revealed that reception of his administration across the ‘sphere have been dropping sharply. Despite popular belief, soyjak.party's activity decline since its peak in the Twelfth Soy Age (which Quote took ownership in) has only been negligible and not massive, with succeeding Soy Ages only increasing in length by a few days and still being shorter than any of the Soy Ages of his predecessors.

One of the improvements Quote has made to the sharty as a developer is a more advanced anti-ban evasion system, and despite only fingerprinting you with with easily obtainable device info this caused some 'teens to sperg out and accuse xher of "personal data collection". Most notably, a shroom user posted an AI generated absolute niggerbabble of a post talking about how integrity.wasm was a virtual machine[Marge...] that received instructions from a websocket to execute[13]. While that post may read like a joke for anyone who has a basic understanding of how the web works, it seems like the person who posted it really believes it, and many not-so-tech literate 'teens fell for it as well. There are also claims of innocent 'teens supposedly being banned for ban evasion after "exposing quote" with this information, though doubt should always be cast on this kind of claim because disruptive offsiters are known to force stuff like this while larping as 'teens, so it is very likely that the bans were actually legit and the people being banned were actual ban evaders.
He frequently gets subpoenas from the FBI, and has talked about it in the IRC a few times. He says they don't share notes between departments due to the amount of times he has to explain what an imageboard is to the glowies.

Aliases[edit | edit source]

Quote has had many nicknames during his time on the Sharty, or in other places within the Soysphere. Quote's current name originates from a character called Quote in an indie game called "Cave Story".[2] His first nickname was Mud (portmanteau of Manager and Chud),[14] coined by the soymmunity, but it has become less common after the Frootcord leaks. On the 'ki he once usesd the alias "BananaSplit" which is "An American ice cream-based dessert consisting of a peeled banana cut in half lengthwise, and served with ice-cream and sauce between the two pieces.", whilst on Soycraft, IRC and Frootcord he has used the nickname "Quote" which has now become the common name. On Soyjak.blog he used the nickname Ballos, and in his blog description he stated that he is also the "Operator of marge.moe" thus he also manages the website marge.moe which is used to track PPH on various imageboards and from July to December 2024 hosted an archive. He has many different nicknames and identities. You VILL NOT investigate FURTHER.

He was also identified with the name "Henry Scott", but this may or may not actually be xis name.
