Soytan is a female soyjak mascot that was created very early into the life of soyjak.party (literally just a day after the site launched, when the default name was "Anonymous" instead of "Chud") in an attempt to make a female mascot for the site, similar to how Yotsuba is the female mascot of 4chan at large. She was later adopted by Soot as the official mascot, and was the website's favicon for the entirety of his time as admin and as the site's logo on the front page for about a month before being changed to Dr. Soyberg. Kuz would later change the mascot to Impish Soyak Ears during his ownership.
Soytan remained the mascot of jakparty.soy for the rest of its existence. Soytan's existence and propagation by numerous admins have spurred numerous site-wide conflicts, some as recent as 2024. Critics of Soytan argue that she is pedophilic gooner material that deviates from what soyjak.party should strive to be, and echos too close to 4chan and its culture. Supporters argue that she is a wholesome gem, and should be celebrated like any other soyjak.
Most people who post Soytan nowadays are oldfag wannabes or the people who would be posting soylita like a year ago. Notice how soytan posting started getting more popular after soylita got banned?

Soytan is a moe anthropomorph of the soylent bottle. She has long black hair and brown baggy ("nerdy") clothes, wears over-the-top stereotypical "problem" glasses, and is often depicted as participating in "soy" activities such as playing Nintendo Switch.
Other interpretations[edit | edit source]
Some claim Soytan to be the female version of Soyjak. Another theory is that Soytan is Soot's genderswapped depiction of himself and that it was made by him (despite that there are ZERO peer reviewed studies proving this, no known pictures of Soot irl, and that Soytan was made by a Brazilian). This theory originates from the trend of other site owners doing this; both Kuz and Moot are known to have depicted themselves as anime girls in the past, and both of them eventually came to realize how cringe it was.

Personal life[edit | edit source]
Kasumi Rhinehart was born on April 19, 2005 in the major American city[2] of San Francisco, California. She was born to a Japanese mother and American businessman Rob Rhinehart. As a child she has always had a fascination with Nintendo and other childish things like toys and cartoons. She also loves to browse Reddit. Due to her soyish behavior and Japanese heritage, she gained the nickname of "Soy-tan" from her friends (-tan is a Japanese honorific or something), which she has since embraced, using it as her online username. Even after she got older, she kept liking the same childish things due to a certain factor. She currently works as a barista at Miss Crystal's cafe, but her dream is to become a journalist one day.
Soytan met Nate online while he was spamming up a subreddit that she was browsing. She messaged him privately, telling him to stop, which he responded by calling her various slurs and insults. However, despite initial hostilities, Nate eventually began to talk to her more and more, since she was (and still is) pretty much one of the very few people who's willing to talk to the guy who isn't related to him and is always online (Chud's probably too busy writing some gay manifesto in his room where he goons to cartoon porn). She eventually gave her number to Nate, they face-timed for a while, and she then discovered she lived close enough to Nate for him to visit frequently. Nate currently visits her house on the weekends and holidays, where they usually play video games and watch movies, and they face-time on the weekdays because those are school days. Soytan hopes he moves in with her once he's old enough to move out, but she hasn't admitted that to him.
Soytan also had problems with the Jartycuck since he was stalking her ever since they met on Twitter. Luckily, the Jartycuck recently moved to Lesotho, but he still stalks her on social media, telling her to play FNF and watch BMT, DNB, and' P together. She blocked him on every platform and Nate has vowed to protect her at any cost.
Relationship with Nate Higgers[edit | edit source]
As previously mentioned, Soytan is closely related to Nate,[3] who is her supposed "boyfriend".[it just is, ok?] Soytan herself appears to be a young adult, (assumed to be 20 or 19 years old, or something) which would make her having any sort of sexual activity or intimacy with Nate questionable. If Soytan is only friends with him, then it is still odd for a grown woman to hang out with an unattended minor. This is because, as mentioned previously, she's inherently soyish and thus can't really interact with anyone of her age group, so she resorts to befriending younger individuals (in this case, Nate) who'd put up with her childish interests because Nate, is essentially a child himself (autistic teenager who can't socialize with most people, like the majority of der 'arty nowadays) who spends his days stimming to "Preview 2 Effects" videos of SNCA logos from 20 years ago, fidgeting xis fingers, and hyper-explaining xis interests down to the most minute details to Soytan. She listens attentively to Nate's interests, because as mentioned before, she's incapable of creating friendships with people her age, and her interests heavily overlap with Nate's, due to them both being into childish things.

Soytan Derangement Syndrome refers to people with an extreme hatred for Soytan. People with Soytan Derangement syndrome: (SDS for short) often:

- Spam Soytan BBC edits and similar brimstone
The most notable individual with Soytan Derangement Syndrome is antiswarthy.

Ever since kuz bought the site from Soot, Soytan has been controversial due to many 'teens considering it tranime, goonslop and/or jartycuck coal. Posting 'tan on the sharty attracts a few nulees and thus can be used as bait. Posting Soytan on the booru is extremely effective, as Lees will swarm your post within minutes
Status as Anime[edit | edit source]
Because soytan is a female kawaii mascot with Japanese inspiration, some soyjak experts consider it to be tranime. Leading soyjakkers agree that the only reason soytan hasn't been forgotten is that Soot rightfully decided to feature it in the sticky on /soy/. If the /soy/ sticky had not existed, the soytan meme would have been unrightfully entombed in the depths of failed /s4s/ garbage nigger memes. In summary, soytan is gem because it is:
- Isn't redundant (complements soyjak as the Sharty mascot.)
- Well drawn.
- Manime.
- Ias gem (because manime.)
Also because of his refusal to delete the board /a/, soyjak historians have taken the existence of soytan as evidence that Soot is a chad.
Soytan was briefly considered NAS by the Froot administration and Soytan threads were moved to /qa/. THOUGHever, ROOT eventually allowed Soytan threads on /soy/ on March 21, 2024.
Downfall[edit | edit source]
Even though he never explicitly stated that Soytan was no longer the mascot of the Party, kuz took down Soytan's sticky thread and changed the site's icon to Impish Soyak Ears shortly after assuming power. (kuz retired and Soytan is still being posted many times daily though.)

Re-emergence as PNGTuber[edit | edit source]
On the 10th of February 2024, a thread was made with a video of Soytan as a pngtuber playing Peggle.[4][5] This was autosaged within hours due to the anti-Soytan stance of the current administration at the time, however the videos have been archived.[6][7][8][9] One of which shows the lost thread. (OH MY FUCKING EARLY 2000'S, SOYTAN LOST MEDIA?!!!!!) <---(slf didnt check archive.today). His voice is male and you WILL not question it, you WILL support xer and xe IS valid.
