Gemma is a NAS catgirl recolor of Tama meant to be the mascot of /gem/ by some gempassers. Because Tama (and by extension Gemma) is banned on the booru, all art of her is on the fucking Jassy's booru. I'm not joking.

Gemma is a recolored version of Tama with blue clothing and hair to represent /gem/, as such, the majority of OC made from her are just recolored versions of Tama fanart. She became a topic of contention due to increase controversies involving /gem/ over cord allegations and post Second Great Soysurgency. Due to the exclusive nature of the board, it's unclear whether she was created by actual gempassers or if it was a psyop falseflag by anti-/gem/ soyteens to portray /gem/ users as shemmycuck esque gooners. Nevertheless, Gemma became somewhat popular sitewide and often posted on the nu-/qa/ and spammed on /soy/ as bait.
The Gempasser Perspective[edit | edit source]
Various gempassers claim that they are not responsible for the gemma spam. They would eventually adopt gemma as a meme due to the amount of spam being done in /soy/, which would eventually lead to their demise. A fateful /pol/ thread that was about Gemma caused the removal of the UID system due to the sheer amount of brim being circlejerked.
